The female dragon tilted her body a little and swooped low to the ground of the palm, landing softly and folding her wings to her sides. She took a quick sweeping gaze of her surroundings. It looked like it usually did but the quiet always unnerved her. She was used to the busy scramblings of the underlings in the tower, not the peace of a forest in the mountains.
Her mind went back to Serrion. He was here somewhere, he usually was. She allowed her thoughts to sweep outward a bit. She always was better with mental magic than Serrion and was bound to notice his presence first. She only hoped Talana would remain in the chambers deep within the mountain if the Elder was around. Her words were for Serrion only.

Serrion was laying by the lake that was in the center of the mountains, the palm of the claw as it was called. He laid like a cat with his tail curled up around his front claws and was partially dozing although his red eyes were open and looking out over the water. He couldn't get that moment out of his head... the moment after defeating Daigmar. Watching his brother die and then... Gaulroach, that sudden heavy presence around Gaulroach that made even Crimson nervous. That voice that penetrated deep into his thoughts. "Our game is only beginning."

She found him as she thought she would, by the lake in the palm. Sheakria smirked to herself and slinked through the forest. She thought it would be better to not alert him with an aerial sneak attack. Instead when he came into view she jumped into his back, claws ready to sweep across his flesh.

Although Serrion was caught off guard he did not have bad reactions and was struggling almost immediately. The emerald dragoness' claws dug into his back and he roared, trying to throw off Sheakria. Though Serrion was a bit larger she was still the better fighter.

Sheakria pushed down with all of her weight, carefully placing her tail around his so he wouldn't be able to struggle away from her. She held her teeth close to his face with a grin. "Lord Gaulroach sends his word to you." She held him in threat pose and released him a moment or two later. She nodded to him to signal her threat was over and released him, putting a decent amount of space between them.
Her position changed and she sat, wings tucked comfortably to her sides. "He ordered me to bring you news but as usual to keep you on your toes."

Serrion snarled, turning to face her with lowered body and wings flared out wide. It was a fighting pose and he held it, unsure if Sheakria acting calm again was the real thing or just to trick him. "I can never tell just what our relationship is. You're a friend and the next your talons are digging into my back."

She casually laid down and shrugged her shoulders. "It I'm on duty unfortunately it's what it is. I can't help following orders. You know that. You yourself have told me I'm not to be penalized for it in your eyes. But I assure you I am done that section of my business here so you may unflare your wings and return to laying down...that is unless you want to end up with stiff joints and such. It's up to you." A smirk curled over her lips but it was less sinister and more amused. "Besides Serrion, I wouldn't strike to kill you. I could never do that."

That last part seemed believable; Serrion was not as naive as he had been the first time they had met... he liked believed he could tell if she was trying to trick him into thinking they were friends. The red dragon eventually decided to sit down and fold his wings up again. "You said Gaulroach had words for me?"

She waited until he was settled and nodded slowly. Sheakria seemed tired but of course it was rightfully so considering she had been out all morning slaughtering the Shining Scales along with her master. That plus the flight into Blood Dragon territory made for an exhausted dragoness.
"Yes. Serrion it's hard to believe but," She paused and swallowed. Hard. "Gaulroach no longer needs you. He's stronger than ever and I think he can and without exaggeration take on you and Crimson without trouble. And likely win."
She met his eyes with a degree of concern. "He doesn't need you anymore. If you were to join him your loyalty would always be questionable of course but it would at least give you a purpose. He has said you are a threat and that he won't hold back the next time you make an attempt on his life. Do you understand what this means? He could kill you. There's nothing stopping him."

Serrion's talons dug into the dirt below them. His eyes flashing red for a moment as the spirit of Crimson conversed with him. "I can't join Gaulroach. He nearly made my clan extinct. And now I find out that the reason he did it is pointless now? So what... they died for nothing?" Both he and Crimson knew they couldn't give into Gaulroach but the Hellkite was warning him to be wary. The game they had been playing with... against the dark dragon had just gotten more deadly. "I have to watch my step but I can't surrender."

"I understand. I figured you would respond that way... but Serrion, do me a favor? Make sure you are careful. Watching your step is an understatement. Gaulroach is starting to show his power and strength in ways he wouldn't dare to before. Even I am unsure what to think about this."
Her tailtip twitched slightly, leaving small ruts in the earth where her scythe shaped spike cut across it. "His moves are unpredictable now that you have become expendable in this game. I'll do what I can to help you survive it but there's only so much I can do without directly disobeying orders. That much I won't do."

"We know each other pretty well. I knew that'd be your responce too." He nodded to her with a faint smile on his lips. The red dragon allowed himself to lay down then, one front leg crossed over the other. "But I want to know Sheakria, why." His golden eyes were focussed solely on her. "Why are you so loyal to him? You're not a monster, I've seen that much for myself. Why do you choose to keep serving him?"

She frowned. "I though I'd told you before?" Sheakria paused, mulling over how much detail to give him and decided all of it would be alright. After all she trusted him and it showed she could have a heart sometimes.
"There was a time I wasn't his servant of course. I was much younger and much more naive, perhaps even more-so than you were when we first met. Hard to believe right? Anyway I had a sister who wasn't much older than myself. She and I would do everything together. She was the one who taught me to fight and hunt. I wasn't very good at it so I'd always be stuck carrying the prey back to our Clan."
She squeezed her eyes shut. "But once when we came home there was chaos. Smashed eggs, blood everywhere even on the trees by the borders of our home. Dead bodies with bones missing. Teeth marks. It looked like they'd never had the chance to fight back. But what would eat a dragon? I bet this sounds a tad familiar does it not?"

He nodded. Very similar... save for a host of wyverns devouring all the left over remains. However the blood dragon did not say anything and allowed her to continue.

She took a deep breath and continued. "We didn't know what to do so we abandoned our prey. Our main priority became finding our mother. I-I didn't know how to handle it so I tried shouting for her but there was no reply. My sister told me to be quiet. She was always the logical one. If something caused so much chaos surely it wouldn't be gone already right?"
Sheakria's eyes met his. "So we decided to find our clan leader, Vouchadia. He was the strongest dragon we ever knew. There was no doubt in our minds that of all the dragons in our clan he would've lived. We went to his cave. Do you know what we found? Bones. Chewed, broken, strewn about and he was laying on a pile of them. A body was on its side near by him and it looked like its stomach was bitten open and all the meat and such inside was just ripped out, ribs and all." She paused and growled lowly. "Monster. We discovered the dragon we trusted most in the world betrayed us. We battled him to regain the honor of the slain but do you know what? We were no match. We were just children."
"But as soon as I saw that tailspike dig into my sister's neck and her body hit that wall something in me just snapped. I jumped on him. I kept slashing and didn't stop. I suppose I went into automatic instinct. Whatever happened when I came out of that blind rage I was alone. He was dead and my sister was long gone. I suppose as soon as she was slammed into the stone her neck broke. But you know me Serrion. I couldn't find it in myself to be sorry for her. All I did was walk away."
