He nodded, rolling back onto his belly. "Nothing dangerous. You?" Serrion's eyes returned to her, he had been worried his fire had caused damage earlier.

She tested her burned leg weight-wise and nodded. "Yeah. It'll be sore but I'm sturdier than I look." Her eyes gleamed and she offered him a smile. "You've gotten better."

Serrion lowered her head to her before getting up and coming over. He touched his muzzle to her leg and activated the healing magic, relieving the pain of the burn and healing its damage.

She flexed her talons for a moment, looking over her scales which no longer hurt. Sheakria gratefully nuzzled him. "Thank you," she said. She wished she could return the favor. After all she was certain she inflicted more damage to him than the other way around.

Sheakria shrugged with a quick rise and fall of her shoulders. "I know. It's alright. I've been in worse battles especially since neither of us were going to strike to kill. I'm sorry if I inflicted too much on you. I just slip into a fighting mind set."
She paused and went into a little more explanation. "It's easier to be emotionless in a real battle so you can kill without getting overloaded with feelings of remorse. It becomes more an art than something of horror."

"And that's where you and I differ," she said. She couldn't help but look away. How many did she kill by this point in her life? Hundreds, thousands? Most were faceless. She didn't know them and they only knew her by stories. There was no need to regret. Yet certain ones she did. Vouchadia? She didn't but she wished she'd been stronger back then. Then Nasira would've been alive.

He looked over at her, tilting his head just a little. "We've fought many times before, and I'm still alive aren't I?" The blood dragon laid a front claw on one of hers. "Obviously there's something holding you back."

Something in the pit of her stomach dropped. She tried not to feel sick. "Obviously," she replied. She flipped the clawed hand over and gripped his. She was happy Gaulroach's word was currently not to hurt him. She wasn't sure what she was going to do when that word changed. She loved him too much to want to hurt him but she also was bound by her duty.

He smiled at her and lowered his head so that it was resting under hers, neck just laying on her arm lightly. "Something will work out... Crimson believes it and I believe him, his visions are usually right. I'll put trust in that."

"Then I will put my trust in him too. He has lived through all of this multiple times and I'm sure his insight will help guide us through the turmoil," Sheakria said. Her voice was strained, choked up.
