Fury shook her beautiful head. Her scales sparkled unnaturally with the gesture. It was no wonder Daigmar had loved her. She was like the night sky full of stars. "No. I am not worried about her injuring me. I was worried about her managing to contain the rage and hate you yourself have championed her for, Gaulroach. I don't doubt she will obey your orders to the letter- even dotting the i's if need-be. It's just that even with her light magic she is not a light creature. She makes corpses as easily as the sun makes rays. Who is to say she will not become carried away? She never was one of your assassins. She was one of your favorites, true, but she is better for direct approaches." She met the red eyes again. "Tell me if I'm wrong."

Serrion had taken notice of that fact, of course he had noticed that the day they first stood at the foot of Gaulroach's tower. "You are not wrong." Gaulroach smirked. "Not at all. But you may not realize that she is far more capable of infiltration than you give her credit for. Infact that would be because you have never truly caught her in the act of stalking you. Only when she chose to reveal herself. If it will put your mind at ease I will have her hold back and allow the others more careful to strike first. If Daigmar proves too immortal to fall after our first strike she will enter the fray and put her talents to use. You would agree yes that at that point stealth is no longer relevant?"

There was a pause as Fury mulled over the dark dragon's words. Then she nodded her consent. "Yes. I believe that is a decent course of action. You're right that by that point she will not need stealth. ...But we won't need pure power either. We'll be more relying on her ability to track and hunt than maim. She needs to know what we're up against. She needs to know that not every aspect of this is going to be easy or that skill and instinct alone will be her only good contribution. ...And be sure she knows that even though we both agreed never to work together again, we will do so anyway."

"Good, then I have your assistance and..." Gaulroach turned his gaze to Serrion. The red looked incredibly uncomfortable. Finally he looked away and sighed. "I'll help stop Daigmar... He's just another evil that you started. Plus... if Fury's going then I want to be there to protect her in case things get too tough for even her abilities."

At the phrase, Fury looked toward Serrion. Admiration and affection took over. "...You would put yourself in danger just to defend me in the case I find myself in need of it?" Why did she even bother asking? Of course he would. They were close friends. That was what friends DID.

"Then it is settled." Gaulroach nodded. "Tomorrow night meet us at Ebony's tower, gather as many of your allies as you can." As the dark dragon turned and left the wound on his chest had started bleeding again. "We cannot afford to wait longer." And then he left. Serrion flinched slightly. "He can't afford to wait longer."

"I sensed it too..." Fury agreed. "The blood, the weakness... Gaulroach is a broken dragon. Even if he is meant to be your greatest enemy, there is something childish and vulnerable about him now. Being a Moon Dragon means knowing healing magic and knowing how to recognize the signs relating to it. He's injured beyond the scope of even that. You're right. He can't afford to wait longer."

Serrion relaxed his wings and sat down again. "I don't know where Venus went off to. I also was with Nalia not to far from here but she's gone somewhere too... Talana is back home, and I am uncertain who else would help us."

Fury hadn't moved during the exchange. Still she raised herself to a sitting position and stretched. "We can more than likely locate Venus. I'm sure she has her own things to attend to... As for Nalia and Talana getting in touch with them will not be our most difficult thing. I can easily contact my mother if we need her, and my father... though I doubt Rage will leave the spirit realm. Sheakria will come of her own accord. She needs no invitation to carnage. If anything Gaulroach will tell her where to find us."

Serrion nodded. "Then that is all we can hope for at the moment... You, me, my sister, Gaulroach, Ebony, Sheakria... And maybe Nalia or Venus." He paused and looked down. "The oddest combination I have ever heard of."

A laugh erupted from her. She couldn't help it. "We have always been a mismatched force, Serrion. Why not add in more oddities? After all even the spirits have fought on our side on countless occasions, have they not? I would not be surprised if the very moon itself one day manifests shape and joins in on our battles." The last part of her statement was a reference to Moon Dragon battle tales. She doubted he would recognize it but she did not refrain from indulging herself in her culture anyway.

Serrion blinked and then glanced up at the opening in the trees at the silvery roundish object. "I doubt the gods themselves will aid us... They would have done so long ago if they really thought we needed it. They do not care for the individual dragons or clans. They want us to live with our own terrors."

"Relax. I did not mean it seriously. It was a reference to a tale many Moon Dragons grow up with. ...You are correct in your assumption of the gods, though. If they wanted to solve mortal problems they would. However they'd be running around frantically if they tried to help us all. It's best they don't assist. If they don't they cannot be blamed for destruction."

Serrion nodded to her and laid down again. His claws scratched at the dirt. "And after, if we manage to defeat Daigmar, what then? I don't assume Gaulroach would turn on us immedietly, he usually keeps his word. But after that he is an enemy again, but what I truly worry is if I'll have another enemy when that occurs... I have seen Gaulroach and Ebony in her tower, they act like close friends now."

She observed him closely. The small gesture of scratching the dirt worried her. Like all dragons, Serrion had things that could get past his emotional armor. Some things could hurt him. Fury repositioned herself to lay close to him. However they weren't quite as close as they had originally been.
"If we defeat Daigmar we will have new concerns. Like the phases of the moon, alliances shift and change. I doubt Ebony and Gaulroach will remain as they are now. Their working together is shaky. They have both aspired for the same power. If they did not unite against you then, they will not now. Why? Simply they have too many differences to work through to maintain such an alliance of great forces."
