Serrion smiled back. Glad that he had at least been able to make her happy.

Fury took a moment to enjoy the calm silence of just laying there beside Serrion. Then she looked to the sky. "I fear we can't have our moment for too long. The world keeps moving even if we lay still. Our friends may need us. Rafael could be up to something for all we know. Venus could need us."

Serrion shifted uncomfortably. "You mean we could not even have a night? Surely Rafael or even Gaulroach would need a time of rest as well after a battle?"

She paused and consented. "I suppose one night will not do harm... You are right to believe they will need at least that much time to recover. I am simply worrying. He has seen how we work together and how our fighting styles function. This is an advantage. We no longer hold the element of surprise."

"Yes but we destroyed one of his followers." Serrion spoke. "The undead one. The only sacrifice it took was a portion of the forest, and Ebony's helped us repair that much. With one less follower it's going to be all the harder if he tries to attack again."

"Ah but can you can kill the undead? Who's to say he has not died more than once? ...And as for Rafael himself, if you cut off one head of a hydra do more not grow back? He will find a solution to combat us and when he does we will have to battle hell once more."

"Perhaps you worry about this Rafael a little too much. His plans aren't very long term from what I've seen, and he does not have the power to back them up." A deeper voice spoke. Serrion bolted to his feet when he heard that voice he would never mistake. The great black dragon Gaulroach stepped into the glade. The light played off his scales oddly, more oddly then Serrion had ever seen... they were no longer as dull and twisted as they had once been. All in all Gaulroach looked more like a dragon and less like a demon. As Serrion growled and bared his fangs Gaulroach seemed intimidated. But instead of the dark amusement normally seen on his face in such a situation it was one perhaps of pity. "I am not here to fight you Hellkite. I wish to talk with you peacefully, there are events at work that far proceed our rivalry in importance. A far darker evil to this world than I would ever be. Fury please be reasonable and speak sense to him, you have seen Daigmar first hand have you not? He's likely become less of a dragon since then."

At the name, Fury's eyes went wide. A tremble ran through her body. "...Daigmar. Yes I've seen him. He...he's become more than a monster. And you say he has become even worse?" A pause and a cringe. "Serrion I think it's time we listen."
The black dragoness turned her golden gaze to meet Gaulroah's crimson one. "And if he won't listen, at least I will. Daigmar wanted me to be his queen when I last saw him. What has be become now?"

"The last I saw him with my own eyes was when he overthrew the tower. His... fortress is immune to scrying so I watched when he approached you, but he hasn't left his realm since. There's no telling what he may appear as now." Gaulroach turned from Fury to Serrion. "Your brother is not as powerful as I, and the demon possessing him very powerful. His redeeming qualities have likely already been eaten away by this demon, leaving only his ambition, lust, and hatred. It also means that like his soul his body will be corrupted all the same, more demon than dragon like I said." Serrion looked very conflicted, like he was trying to hold in grat anger. "What... what makes him such a threat. If he's just taken your tower away from you it's not a bad thing, has he hurt anyone else?" Gaulroach smirked. "Of course you wouldn't care about me dieing... But no, he has yet to attack. But this shadowy realm of his is expending, very quickly in fact. You can actually see it moving along the ground. I judge that within... oh say a month this realm will have entirely enveloped Ebony's forest, and that of the Shining Scales, and will be upon the base of the mountains."

Alarm washed over Fury. Her talons clenched, raking lines through the ground. "...If I had said yes to him, perhaps he would have had a distraction from his ambition," she mumbled under her breath. The news was devastating. If that was how much Daigmar would take within a month then what about two? What about a year? She shook off the thought. It was best to think of the present. "Ebony is powerful. Surely she will battle back to keep her forest? And the Shining Scales are her allies aren't they? Will they not join her?"

"They can, but there's no telling how powerful Daigmar is and will become. They might be able to last out against physical attacks... But they cannot stop the overflow of this demonic energy. Only a tremendous amount of light magic can even delay it. Once absorbed into the realm, creatures of weak will like humans and some dragons will transform into demonic bengs, even those with strong will will eventually succumb or be hunted down by the monsters." Gaulroach shook his head. "No, you made the correct choice Fury, for you would have eventually been twisted all the same into one of those creatures, moon dragon or not your light would be drowned." he quietly hissed. "Daigmar cannot be fought like an army in war, demons cannot be fought like mortals. Their energy that makes them retreats when they are killed, and reforms back where magic is strong. To fight them their portal into our world must be detroyed. While the site my tower stands over is strong with demonic magics there are powerful magical barriers to only allow so much to radiate out at a time. I suspect the portal has become Daigmar himself." Serrion looked down for a moment. "We kill Daigmar and it stops the demons." Gaulroach nodded. "Without a powerful pool of magic to draw from most will be banished back to their realm almost immedietly. The stronger ones will slowly weaken and then die like one deprived of water."

"Then what can we do? If he really continues to be so powerful that not even Ebony and the Shining Scales can stop him, what chance do we all stand? Even as a massive team, we'd stand no chance. Not to mention we're scattered. Our friends are tired from battling Rafael not too long ago. Not to mention even Sheakria is going to be minorly intimidated by Daigmar. We can't face him with so much uncertainty. We need a plan along with all this information."

Gaulroach chuckled. "Have you never heard of assassination my dear? As a force the Shining Scales and Ebony's army is no match for the endless demonic hordes of Daigmar. But if we were to strike deep into the heart of his fortress, in secrecy, we could attack him when he is hopefully alone." Serrion tilted his head. "Then why havn't you done so yet?" Gaulroach's red gaze fell on the blood dragon. "I have grown weaker, he has grown stronger. Perhaps if I, Ebony, and Sheakria all struck at him together we'd stand a chance, but it is risky. No, it would be far safer I thought if the Hellkite and his mismatched allies came to help."

"Assassinate Daigmar..." she whispered. The very thought was haunting. Her mind flicked momentarily back to her childhood. She had loved him like a sibling and like a best friend. She admired his strength and noble heart. He wasn't like that anymore but she didn't know if she could do it. Even if her friends urged her on, she didn't know how much she could truly contribute to the murder of him.
"What about Sheakria? Will she assist us in this or is she, like Ebony, to hold off?" Fury knew her enemy well. The green dragoness was infallible. A price couldn't be put on a killer like her. Yet Sheakria was deadly but not quiet. Her methods of killing were showy and meant for her own amusement the majority of the time. Kills weren't pretty. She made corpses, not art.

"If you are worried about Sheakria I will assure you that no harm will come to you during this." Gaulroach shook his head. "She needs to come, she is invaluable in battle and her light magic gives us even better odds. However I will keep a close eye on her and she will follow my orders to the letter."
