The farm lands of the Shining Scale terra had always been safe from threat as they were on the opposite side of the great forest that marked the battlegrounds between the Shining Scale army and Gaulroach's horde. Gaulroach had largely avoided sending his full wrath upon them thus far but from recent events he had decided he had a few too many thorns surrounding him. So it was that without warning a host of wyverns and dragons descended upon the farmlands. Having flew a long and large path around Shiny Scale terra to hit their flank and catch them by surprise. There weren't many of them, it was not an all out attack but more intended for the terror tactics. After all the Shining Scale clan would suddenly find chunks of their supplies burnt to the ground and farmers and livestock slaughtered. What nearby draconic soldiers could be mustered quickly flew to the defense to fight off the invading forces. Their lines faltered when they found the emerald lady, Sheakria flew with this strike force. Anyone in the Shining Scale terra knew of her legendary killing abilities, the claw of the dark dragon and always responcible whereever the slaughter was to be had. However if they faltered at the sight of her they outright panicked when they saw the living image of the demonic dragon lord. The last time Gaulroach had been seen in Shining Scale terra he had come to peacefully demand the surrender of the clan. He had been terrifying to behold but they had seen a frightfully calm and calculating mastermind who held his temper and only found amusement in their refusal. This was like seeing a different dragon entirely. While his movements were not nearly as graceful as Sheakria's there was no doubt that Gaulroach had the skill to move his massive form around. Those that dared not flee and actually fight him were dispatched efficiently but painfully. Normally he'd play with his prey before granting them quick death but now he seemed most interested in crippling them and trying to see if they would still try to fight or flee. He tore open wings with his claws, cracked ribs with his mighty tail, and blinded them with spits of his acidic breath. He was also merciless and all fell before him, their blood splattering across his scales and only furthering the terrifying visage of the demonic like entity.

Every time Sheakria saw her Lord fight it was a new rush of pride and adrenaline. This time, however was different. He was just as dangerous as she remembered but this time perhaps more-so. She'd had the pleasure of seeing him fight Ebony but she assumed this was more seek and destroy in nature.
While pondering she managed to slice her tail through the neck of a young dragon, tear up some wings, and quite frankly live up to the name of the terror she was known to be. Yet something felt off about this. Ordinarily bloodshed was fine but she'd never had a battle of this magnitude since the massacre of the Moon Dragons. Taking back the tower from Daigmar was a battle but not like this.
~M'Lord, they are beginning to fall back. Should we not request surrender?~

Gaulroach crushed another dragon into the ground, a younger adult and not even half his size. It was still alive, struggling there under his claws. He allowed it to remain there. His molten eye shifted back to Sheakria and a smirk setting on his face. "The majority of the Shining Scale army is some distance away and we did not bring nearly enough to fight them all. No... I am not seeking surrender. This is to strike terror into the heart of their country. Before their council even realizes it several farms will be burnt down. Many dragons slain and even more humans. By the time the bulk of their forces reach us here we will have already left and they will only find our butchery." Gaulroach looked down at the dragon at his feet and pressed down hard on its neck, shattering it. "Their moral will be weakened, as will their supply line. Scared and hungry dragons make poor opponents."

Sheakria snorted. She was all for blood shed and he had a point about scared, hungry dragons but this was getting to be a bit much even for her tastes. Still she had a job to do.
She opened her wings and made a climb, spiraling downward shortly after where she picked up a dragon larger than herself who'd made the mistake of attempting escape. With a sinister laugh she ground him into the earth, leaving a crater and a very broken looking opponent who she left to suffer. He wouldn't be moving any time soon and a wyvern would find him eventually and surely would tear him to shreds. Lovely.
She climbed again and this time took a low sweep, landing close to Gaulroach. "I'm beginning to think they're not thoroughly terrified yet. Perhaps we should think of doing worse than just offing half their forces?"

"We're not going to win this battle in a single day Sheakria." Gaulroach took flight again and flew over a farm holding very frightened cows and horses. As he went over the dark dragon let out a heavy breath of acidic mist that settled over the farm. The animals' screams were horrific as first their flesh and then everything else melted. The dark dragon then landed on what was perhaps the stone ruins of a once long ago church. The force of his bulk hitting it smashing much of the walls down. "Sound the retreat!" The great black dragon roared. "Let the Shining Scale army reach this place with no enemies to fight and only death to look upon!"

~Yes M'lord,~ Sheakria replied with a quick mental message. She opened her wings and swept over the battlefield, roaring to those within earshot. The forces turned to look up at her for a moment as she passed in both respect and fear.
She continued her path until she found her way to the top of a building where she perched and watched them turn tail to follow Gaulroach's retreat order. She herself would wait. The view of the battlefield was best from high above.

Gualroach looked over the burning remains of what had once been bountiful farm land. Though they had hardly touched an eighth of it in this time it was still more then enough damage to get the Shining Scale's attention. The great dark dragon roared and made a sudden take off, the force of his powerful legs causing the structure to collapse while he took to the air to follow his army.

Sheakria followed shortly after, waiting until the rest of the army as well as her Lord already departed. While she didn't manage to crush the building with her take off as Gaulroach did, she did double back and blast a jet of fire at it. It began to slowly burn and as it did her mouth curled up into a cheshire cat-like smile. She loved this kind of thing. She took in the sight for a moment or two then flapped hard to catch up with her Lord, flying nearby but far enough away that the gusts from his wing beats wouldn't throw her off her own flight path.

Gaulroach quickly took head of the small army he had brought here. "Sheakria I plan to make future attacks on the flanks of the Shining Scale, only joining in one of five attacks to keep their fear of me strong. The rest I leave to you and I expect you to lead slaughter in their frontlines when not doing so." His molten eye locked on the Emerald dragoness. "And in this time you are not make attempts on the moon dragon's life. We are leaving them - Ebony, Fury, Serrion - alone for the time being."

She stifled the urge to groan. Leaving Fury alone was torture, leaving Ebony? Much easier. But leaving Serrion was almost as bad as leaving Fury alone. She hated being away from him for long. Every moment she wasn't with him was another chance for him to turn on her and choose a different dragoness for his mate.
"Yes Lord Gaulroach," Sheakria replied in reaction. At least she could pour her energy into bloodshed and wouldn't be bored. She'd be sure to pick a special target and torment them through the rest of the attacks just to have some one to toy with. That was after all the best method. She loved seeing the eyes of her opponents widen in terror as soon as they realized she was the emerald lady they feared so much.

His eye noticed that moment's hesitation before she answered. Gaulroach was very observant and knew that look to be different from the one she normally made when told she couldn't go after Fury. "Keep in mind when I say leave them alone I mean don't harm them." His eyes looked forwards again. "It wouldn't at all do if they forgot about us entirely."

The smallest of smiles came. Sheakria suddenly felt lighter and it took all of her remaining composure to keep herself from practically flying a loop. That was basically permission to see Serrion. Perhaps even have a conversation or two. Sadly she knew he'd noticed her enthusiasm, he always did but at least he didn't directly comment on it.
"I'll be sure they won't."

Gaulroach. "Good... which brings me to another point. I have a message you need to bring the Blood Dragon." Gaulroach's eyes flashed brightly, there was a momentarily cold look in his eye. The intelligence of something far more ancient and powerful then he. "I no longer need the power of his Hellkite. Infact he is just as much as a threat to me as he was of use before. The blood dragon is going to mind himself for he no longer has a use for me and I will not hold back the next time he attempts to kill me."

That caught Sheakria off guard. She stopped flapping and lost a little height in her shock but she quickly regained it. "Yes My Lord. When shall I bring the message to Serrion and the Hellkite?" she asked, unsure exactly where to find them or when she would have to speak. He wouldn't be hard to track but the idea that her Lord would likely fight full strength against Serrion frankly frightened her. This war had been in a stalemate for so long and now it seemed the game changed completely.

"Whenever is of convenience to you. He is foolish but not stupid, he knows I am of new strength now and he'll want to know just how strong before making a move." Gaulroach chuckled, eyes returning to normal. "At the least his Hellkite will realize this and hold him back. I was already more then a match for both the dragon and Crimson combined. Now with Nyrakk on my side it's not even a contest any more."
