OOC: bit rusty form RP so I shall post here to warm up I think.
Soa tilted her wings, directing her self into a spiral, descending from her lofty height to the ground, surveying the land, sniffing the scents of other dragons and potential food.
Deciding there would be ample amount of food and perhaps potential mates she set herself into a glide, back winging at the last moment to land on her back legs then thump forward onto her forearms.
Folding her massive wings to her sides she gazes around, head up, tongue darting out to taste the air around her.

(Mind if I join the party? It's been a while since I've done an RP with more than one person at a time - right, Fury? xD Anyway, same question from me; pick a name from my sig or fancy a random character?)

(All right then, random pick it is! I'll even close my eyes to make it fair. xD And we have...
Leander. Who I haven't RPed for ages. Eek. Looks like Thanthero might be running back-up if Leander doesn't turn out well, since he refuses to be left out of anything. ;D)

(I think I'll go with dear Fury. She needs a bit more use... If she fails me I'll use Esmeya or somebody)

(No problemo. :3 Time to test out the newly revamped Leander. 'Scuse any random personality changes, I haven't had any chance to throw him out into the grand old RP world just yet. xD)
The area was large; wooded, covered almost entirely in a carpet of evergreen. He could barely see the pockets of dusty gold where the trees allowed light to touch the ground, clearings flowering from the small spaces. Banking around a large swathe of cloud, Leander took in the fresh scent of pine and blinked when it stung his nose and throat, sharper than thin air and frost.
"Ah," he murmured to himself in the privacy of the sky, words whisked away by the wind. "Didn't realise I was this far north."
Apparently, there were more than a few things he hadn't realised after a few hours of mindless flight. His stomach was quick to remind him of the last time he'd stopped to eat - a few days ago? Weeks? Possibly.
Well. Venus wouldn't be pleased if he ended up starving himself to death on this wild goose chase.
Angling his wings away from the wind, he reduced resistance enough to tug them in and drop, a silver dart against the blue sky. His landing was a little stumbled - not exactly befitting of a Shantari of his status - but he excused himself with a quiet laugh and a flick of his tail. The sharp blade glinted, light chasing itself around the singular twist where hardened skin met scales. Shards of sapphire bled their way into the reflection of his sleek hide, mellow as he nosed the air for the scent of water. Or deer. Preferably both.

Zrail's wings began to shake with the strain of flying for many days. He attempted to begin a descent but his wings seemed to finally give up and fail him and he started plummeting to the ground, rather quickly at that. He saw another dragon landing a little bit a way and decided angle his fall in that general direction.

Soa by now had begun to move across the ground, snuffling around the base of trees, catching scents of game and past dragons. Lifting her lips to the point were her teeth began to show she rubbed the side of her head on the sides of trees, leaving her own mark before moving off to find more open ground, with her bulk, she didn't fit well in between trees.
As the dragoness passed into a clearing she lifted her head, tongue darting into the cool and crisp air, fresh scents of deer floated threw the air, she was down wind, but also, something else, other dragons. Poising her self, her spiked tail tip twitching as she held up her head to look around, peering threw trees, claws kneading the ground beneath her. Her tongue continued to dart, half tempted to just find the deer, the other half of her cautious, was she in others territory?

It was only a matter of time before the lake unfolded in front of him, framed by a crescent sweep of trees and rough pebbled beaches. The sight of it made Leander hum quietly in relief. He made his way over in a slow wander, stretching cramped wing muscles, scales reflecting the calmness of blues, purples, minty greens.
It was the work of a moment to dip his muzzle into the water, drinking deeply and watching the ripples fan out lazily towards the centre. The slow pace was restful after the stress of the last few days-
-until something decided to brush against the edges of his awareness.
Ingrained battle response forced him to stand to attention, raising his head to the sky and chasing the scent and feel of the new visitors.
A minute frown crinkled the skin between sharp emerald eyes. He couldn't detect any territory wards... no clan-scent, either. So no danger of being accosted by a group defending their home. That only left wanderers. Loners. Maybe even bandits, but that was rarer these days - especially in the northern reaches.
'Looks like those politics sessions from back home are still some use, after all.'
Deciding it would be wiser to stand his ground - he needed a break, anyway - Leander settled back on his haunches, tail curling neatly around his feet. The magic he had waited, half-poised like a striking snake.
'Can't be too careful.'

Zrail saw the dragon in front of him only a few moments before almost crashing into it. He frantically pumped his beaten wings and barrel rolled into the ground a few feet in front of the dragon sitting on the grass around the lake. He laid in the ground for a few moments before groaning and removing himself from the rut that fanned out from behind him.

Leander's claws slipped into the soft ground as he shoved himself away from whatever was hurtling towards him. The single spiral midway along each ivory curve gave him enough grip to right himself relatively quickly, magic already simmering to the surface. Unfortunately, his warrior training didn't cover battered dragons splayed out in front of lakes in particular detail. He debated remaining silent - in the end, the sense that this one meant no harm loosened his tongue.
But curiosity killed the cat - and maybe one day, the dragon too. Experience taught him to settle for the middle ground, tone carefully neutral.
"Who are you?"

Soa swung her head in a quick arch to the noise the crashing dragon had made. Rumbling in her throat she lowered her head and held her tail straight out behind her, wings tucked in tight to her back as she began to pick her way carefully threw the trees.
Despite her best efforts of trying to be quiet her size didn't help with being quiet, occasionally she would brush against the forests trees, hissing at her self every time she did so.
When she reached the edge of the trees that stood around the lake, a curious croon escaped her as she tilted her head in disbelief at the two dragons, one sitting calmly, one sprawled and a rut in the ground, but they didn't seem to be fighting, maybe clutch mates.
She edges out of the trees party, her black and read head still tilted, paws crunching on the pebbles of the beach. She didn't make another move to go closer, instead she just sniffed the air, gold eyes gleaming, watching.
