Aisling blinked, following the line of his arm until her eyes met the concealed exit, hidden by a convenient curtain of twisting, enchanted ivy.
"Ah." Her smile turned sheepish. "Er, yeah - that would be it."
(Aisling!fail! xD)

(xD aww)
Aleiko chuckled and slithered on ahead, this time keeping his back arched high so he didn't drag the ground. He looked much more regal and more like the Easterns of human myth in this pose. Still it didn't hinder his movement and he waved a hand over the ivy. It untwined and parted to either side at his command. "Boy am I ever glad Tiamat changed the doors over to recognize us before she changed the spell scrolls."

Aisling followed, still hanging on to the pile of scrolls with a carefully-placed prickle of her claws.
"Oh yes - otherwise we'd be reduced to rather useless piles of ash by now. Remember what they did to that bird that accidentally flew at the back entrance?"
(Sorry for the short posts - but at least we're getting somewhere, so I think we're excused!)

(indeed! Much better than letting it sit uselessly, eh?)
He cringed, an expression that did not suit him. After all, Aleiko was generally a lighthearted dragon. Still the thought pained him. The smell of burning feathers was not one he generally enjoyed even when hunting if he had to use fire... and the door spell hadn't given much mercy to the poor fowl. "Do I ever..."

Aisling wrinkled her nose minutely.
"Tell me about it. I couldn't air the smell out of the corridors for weeks." Stepping through the parted curtain of ivy and out into the crisp afternoon air, the dragoness smiled and glanced to the sky.
"Right. Let's get ready to rumble!"
(And bring in Raik whenever you feel like it. I don't mind, whenever.)

(done and done)
Neraika- the mad hatter that she was- lurked in the treeline. Her golden eyes fixated on Aisling first then Aleiko as the two apprentices walked out into the world. It could offer them no cover from them. Even if Tiamat and her like came out of he cave there would be nothing to stop her. The tiger striped dragoness could sense magic afoot but it was from an outside influence. A spirit perhaps? If so then Lei certainly would be useful to Rafael after all. A twisted grin curled over her maw. She would enjoy the task at hand very soon. Until then it was best to observe and allow events to unfurl.
"Right!" Lei said excitedly. He curled his tail around himself, cracking joints in the process with loud popping sounds. "So, what first? We'll need to be careful with all the layering of spells this will require."

Aisling settled her weight back and regarded their assembled scrolls contemplatively.
"Well... if we go with the a burst of fireworks to begin with, we'll have the advantage of them being blinded by the flash. But otherwise, I think it might just be a full-on assault with all the spells at once?"
(Btw - Tia, Tatsu, Than and Venus are all still inside, aren't they? *has lost track liek woah*)

(yep still inside the room they were eating in despite it being a tight fit, I believe)
Aleiko flashed another grin, his vigor renewed. He held up a fireworks spell. "All together then... Though I like your idea of the firework distraction."
Inwardly Neraika laughed coldly. Blinding the others worked too well to her advantage. After all, all she had to do was get Aleiko to go with her right? It would be far easier to do so with less opposition. She knew Aisling would be no challenge. If the apprentices could only manage such simple spells they were completely vulnerable to her mental assaults. Perfect...

(Awesomesauce - thanks, Fury. xD When are we having them come rushing out again? Gawd, I really need to pay more attention to our plot. Seriously. x.x)
Aisling grinned, mischief oozing from every pore.
"All together it is! Now we just have to make sure they don't explode in our faces before we can get ourselves ready."

(xD no prob... umm I believe it's in our PM's if one of us can dig 'em up, right? I'll take a look in a sec. for you ^^ least I can do since I had you dig up Shantari things for me on several occasions)
Like the little imp he could be, Aleiko became equally excited and mischievous to the point where he practically had to dig into the ground with his claws to keep from squirming around impatiently. "So... how shall we run this? Who's holding down which spells and such?" He hadn't noticed Neraika yet. In truth it was because she could use her mental skills to keep herself well concealed from the mind's senses.

(*hugs* Fury, you're a star!)
Tail swishing, Aisling examined the neat pile of scrolls intently, entriely focused on their tricky task at hand.
"I'm usually best at holding the illusion spells - I know that spirit will be doing our temporary disguises, but I could somehow blur the lines between each of the firework spells to make them last longer?"

(Aww <3)
"Sounds like a plan... I guess I'll run the firebirds and such. I'm good at glow effects. I need practice shaping light and things like it. Do you know it took me bloody ages to get a simple mimic of a shape made out of water?" Aleiko snorted at his own short comings.

Aisling chuckled.
"Yeah - but it takes me about half an hour to actually sense anything resembling a spirit, so we balance out quite nicely. And practice makes perfect, right? That sounds like a good excuse to use after we finish the prank... it might make Tia give us less chores to do, anyway..."

"Aisling I love how your mind works!" Aleiko agreed. He put down the firebird spell and opened up the scroll for the fireworks one. "Here we go then. Best to get going. After all we want this to be fast... we don't want to have them come out and catch us."
It isn't them catching you that you should worry about, little mouse. Neraika though. Now she was being a Cheshire Cat instead of a Mad Hatter.
(mouse ref being to him being shy, obviously other references are to Alice in Wonderland)

Aisling fairly sparkled, talons tracing runes and watching them come to life on the page - not as quickly or as obediently as when Tiamat woke them with her careful claws, but they listened well enough.
"Okay, then - let's go!"
(Tension is building... ;D Do we want to run discussion between Tatsu and crew at the same time, or should we stick with this?)
