(How soon shall I intro Raik? I know whenever they next head outside after this prank thing but I figured I would ask to get a time frame idea...)

(Hmm... *strokes chin* Well, we could always let Lei and Aisling sneak back around to the front of the Earth once they have their spells for the prank - that way, they could be preparing for their attack on Than out of the way of Tia's spell wards, and then Raik comes along? :S)

(*salutes* Let's get the ball rolling! ;D)
Burying her nose in the final musty cupboard, Aisling huffed. The dust clogging her scales was enough to make her itch, claws twitching as they rifled through the jumbled array of scrolls.
"Gods, this place needs a spring clean!" She quickly withdrew her head, neck arching in an easy stretch. "Looks like we got most of them; a few firebird spells... some fireworks that we can modify. Anything else you can see at the bottom? There's too many for me to read the nameplates from this side." One talon poked the wobbling pile of paper in the middle of the small room. "And knowing my luck, they'll probably fall over and set the cavern on fire if I even so much as try to move them!"

Aleiko blinked. It didn't quite register that Aisling would be the clumsy one that set the cavern ablaze. Still he complied and checked over the bottom. The apprentice slithered along rather nimbl and started to read over names.
"Not really," he replied after a few minutes with a nonchalant shrug of the shoulders. "It seems to just be mostly stuff like dust clouds and minor mind illusions. I doubt the former will sit well since it's messy and the latter will likely not work due to mental wards that I'm sure Tia and her friends have on hand."

Aisling nodded, brow creased in a gentle frown.
"Yeah... those dust spells are notorious for being messy. Especially if we're underground - I don't think we want to be the ones having to sweep up all the dirt and cobwebs. Urgh. And the mind illusions; from what I've caught of their defences, we won't be getting anywhere near Thanthero or Tatsu, and we already know Tia's mind is like a flippin' steel fortress! So... fireworks it is! And perhaps a little illusion powder to give us time to set them up?"
Balancing the small tower of scrolls was an interesting experience - but luckily (or not, for Tiamat) all of the prank spells were coded to their auras now. Which meant no painful security burns.

Aleiko slithered out of the cramped space and readjusted himself into a more comfortable position. He chuckled and flashed a grin. "And she's kind enough to try to challenge us to break into it every once in a while... A task much easier said than done, I'll be the first to admit. Even with spirit help it's impossible."
His tail curled around him, causing him to coil up like a snake, as he gave Aisling a hand in balancing the scrolls. "There... now they won't fall. As for the illusion powder, sounds good to me. It should help us out in the long run, right?"

Aisling chuckled, flashing her friend a grateful smile for his help with the steadied scroll pile.
"Ah, maybe one day we'll be tricky enough to catch her on the sly and prove that we aren't that bad after all." It was a distant dream, but the jade dragoness still maintained that they may eventually become Tiamat's equals.
Emphasis on 'eventually'.
"As for the illusion powder, any time is good time." Her tail swished as she peered out into the tunnels. "Perhaps we should head for that bolt exit down in the lower passages? Better that than trying to get by the store-room..."

Aleiko paused to consider the idea and then nodded once more. It was as good of an idea as any. After all they would need a way outside to set up and get their things together and heading out that way was a good way to avoid getting caught in the process. "Right-o... Perhaps we could cast an illusion on the tunnels to project ourselves walking around or something so Tiamat doesn't wonder where we wandered off to for so long?"

Aisling considered, head listing slightly to the left and eyes drifting to the exit leading into the main tunnel.
"As long as we can anchor it to something so we don't exhaust ourselves, that should be fine..." Her smile was bright when she turned back to face her friend. "Oh, this is going to be good!"

Aleiko's eyes flashed a different colour and his expression changed. He was of course channeling a spirit, though as he had made clear time and time again he couldn't do it for too long. "I shall hold you spell. I do not have much presence on this mortal realm's plane but I can at least do that much."
(If Lei channels 'em then they're a friend not foe xD with the exception of our dear Raffie)

(xDD I'm sure Raffie is thrilled to be classed as a 'foe'. ^___^)
Aisling grinned, dipping her head in a moderately graceful acknowledgement.
"Thank you - is there any way you can watch our mischief through Lei as a reward? We'll make sure it's at least slightly entertaining."

(xD oh yes)
"I can attempt it. Your friend is kind of holding me in this realm at the moment so I should be able to. I thank you," The spirit replied. He paused and smiled through Aleiko's familiar face. "Good luck Aisling. I wish Aleiko the same."

"Thank you, and yourself, too."
The jade dragoness was still smiling as she turned towards the exit, claws clattering quietly against pieces of stone coated by soil.
"Right then... now to find that exit passage. I always forget where the thrice-damned thing is!"

Aleiko's eyes changed back and his expression shifted back into his regular soft smile. "Well that solves that. He's already got the illusion up and running. All we have to go is head off. As for where the passage is... I think it's there?" He pointed with a taloned hand. He was careful to keep the golden bracelet around his wrist from making too much noise as it moved with the gesture.
