(We can do both at the same time if you want... though take it easy since we're playing with Shantari stuff again)
Aleiko's own claws followed the path as well. He was bathed in a sort of amber light as his magic awoke from its regularly lazy position within him. He forced it to stir then activated the spell which he joined to Aisling's half for stability. All they had to do now was properly trigger it.

The build-up of magic was palpable; nothing dramatic, just a quiet hum in the air above the natural noise of the forest. Reaching the end of the scrolls, Aisling chanced a glance at Lei. "All ready?" + [/b] The feeding room was still as cramped as ever. Venus stifled as wince as her wings began to cramp, worrying the muscles as gently as possible to stop them seizing up. The feeling was well-known and much maligned from the days of her apprenticeship. Even as a petite juvenile, some of the hidden nooks of Tiamat's lair were more than enough to leave her well and truly stuck. A quiet murmur of magic removed the remains of her meal, and the blue dragoness sat back as far as she could, gold eyes regarding the group of ancient dragons sharing the small space with quiet curiosity. Immediate familiarity wasn't a feeling she was accustomed to - unlike wing cramp - but something about these three chimed. Inwardly, Isandre shifted and hummed in agreement.

"Always ready." Lei replied. He waited for the hum to built to its crescendo then smiled. "It seems the spell is ready as well. For sure." -
Tatsu did his best to keep his coils in check. He didn't need his massive serpentine body accidentally tangling anyone up. His worst fear truthfully was tangling himself up in a knot as he had done several times in past years. The silence of the room was bothersome to him but he didn't really have anything to break it.

The mischief returned to her grin as she let the spell weave itself into a coherent order, ready to be set upon their poor, unsuspecting victims. A last-minute thought occurred, and she quickly asked, "Are we taking it inside or transporting it from here?" + [/b] Thanthero was the epitome of feline, curled neatly in a corner with all limbs tucked in and tail curling languidly about his feet. His lean frame was useful for more than just fighting and stealth. Yellow eyes flicked from point to point. When he spoke, it was with his usual lazy drawl. "Life and soul of the party, you three are."

"I'd say transport from here. We don't want to be too close or we'll blind ourselves as well. Also we need some distance from our illusion selves or it will cause a virtual paradox and throw off our plans." Ever intelligent and tactical as usual.
- Tatsu broke out of his own silence, chuckling. He prodded Thanthero in the arm with a talon. "And I suppose that you are, Than? The life of the party I mean?" He practically smirked with his teasing. After all 'life of the party' was ironic when Thanthero had been involved with Death so much previously.

Aisling nodded her assent, eyes narrowing as she concentrated on the difficult task of shifting the spell. It moved - grudgingly. "On three?" + [/b] The grin unfurled itself in an easy movement, yellow eyes flashing in mild amusement. "Heh. More life in me than in all of you put together." Tiamat entered the conversation with an eye-roll, feathers and fur fluttering as she moved her weight forwards. "You probably steal it from all of those poor victims of yours!" Thanthero merely snickered, saying nothing. Venus examined the by-play between the three friends with a bemused smile. Something wistful lurked behind her eyes in recognition of friends lost.

Lei assisted her to the extent of his abilities, even straining a bit to keep Aisling from having to take on too much of the task. "On three." He agreed with a nod. "One... two..."
Three. Neraika thought, ready to strike out very very soon. - Flashing a grin, the bright blue Eastern dragon shook his head. Blue strands of his mane followed the motion. "Actually Tiamat I think he scares the souls of said victims away. His sarcasm is probably more deadly than his talons and surely they wouldn't want to stick around too long."

"Three! Time to wreak havoc!" Aisling let the magic go with a snap. It rushed forwards as if to fill the vacuum they'd managed to create between them, chasing across the runes and bringing them to vivid life. The scrolls disappeared - on their way to their destination. + [/center] Both Tiamat and Venus chuckled at this, the sound similar enough to easily see the influence one had passed to the other. But the younger dragoness was the one to answer the comment, joining the conversation for the first time since lunch, voice fluting and mellow in the small chamber. "It's a shame you three didn't join us for the fight against Rafael - life would be so much easier if we could defeat him with sarcasm alone!"

Aleiko flashed a grin. However he had no time to respond as Neraika leaped forward and grabbed him in her steel talons. She didn't intend to allow time for a struggle. Still Lei cried out. "Aisling!" - Tatsu, still unable to sense Raik's presence, chuckled. "That would have been far easier I am sure."
Then everything went bright. The fireworks had been a success. However... would they be able to save Lei now?

Aisling choked on their victory, spinning around to see Lei being dragged away by a tiger-striped dragoness. Horror struck and panicking, she charged towards his captor with every intention of attack - however meagre. "Lei!" + The flash was blinding. Venus and Tiamat both recoiled on instinct, shoving themselves against the wall and shielding their eyes with wings and claws. Than was up and snarling, talons half-raised as his highly attuned senses were almost overwhelmed by the display of fire and light. His swearing could be heard far above the hiss of magic.

Neraika cackled, out of victory and out of habit, as she carried Aleiko away. He was light weight and it wouldn't be long until she was home free. Magic crackled around her as she prepared a teleportation spell. Unfortunately she let her blocks slip in the process. She was perfectly detectable now. - Tatsu had coiled to avoid the bright light. Once it ebbed he uncurled and growled. "What the hell was that?" It wasn't like him to curse. Something was going on and he didn't like it. That was perfectly clear.

Aisling struggled through the haze created by their leftover magic, limbs sluggish and eyes desperate.
Than was already moving as Tatsu began to speak, darting from the room and disappearing down the corridor in a blur of black and yellow. His mental voice was loud and clear.
~Someone's here - and using my damned spell!~
Tia, eyes wide, shoved herself away from the way and stumbled after him, unsteady. The sense of evil was palpable even from inside the Earth, and her magic was already beginning to gather at her clawtips, burning and ready.
Venus glanced at Tatsu, gaze a strange mixture of gold and blue.
"Where are Aisling and Aleiko?"

Tatsu pouted. "...I don't know but hell if I'm waiting here to find out. Come on!" He darted arrow-like from the room. It wasn't hard for him to sort of slink around corners swiftly after Thanthero and Tiamat.
~Than, who can possibly use your spell besides you? Any ideas? Tia, can anyone get inside the Earth undetected...? Or do you think Aisling and Aleiko managed to sneak by us and go outside?~ He asked, shooting questions at his friends respectively. ~Venus, mind seeing if you can find out where the two of them did run off to?~
(holding off with Raik's post until they actually see her THEN as planned she'll disappear)

Venus was swift to follow, curling her wings close to her sides and keeping pace with Tatsu whilst trying to avoid stepping on his coils. Her eyes slid shut, mind searching out any nearby auras with the precision of an expert.
~Outside. They're outside!~
Tiamat and Thanthero both swore over the connection, the latter more vividly as he burst out into the cool forest air, whipping around and heading straight for the forest. He knew the trace of his own spell well enough to follow it days after use. The damn thing was tied to him, after all.
~Hell knows, but I know one person stupid enough to sign it over to someone else.~ The thought was delivered on a growl, leaving no illusions as to who the assassin was referring to.
Tia was second to emerge from the Earth, fur and feathers fluttering as she hurriedly answered Tatsu's question. Something about this situation was putting her on edge.
~Yes - the emergency exit to the back. Near the smaller spell-rooms, where I sent those two. That firebird spell had them all over it, but there's no way they'd be able to use Than's shadow transport. Like he said, someone else is here - and we can't be too careful.~

~Sign it over to somebody else... Charon wouldn't do that would he? Wait no, don't answer that. I can't say I would put it past him especially the way things are looking. After all, the bastard gets his kicks out of messing with everyone else it seems and what better way than to twist spells against us?~ Tatsu replied. His voice had taken on a harsh edge. He only got like this when truly upset to a high degree. This warranted it. - As they burst forth into the open air a black bird's feather fluttered to the ground. It was familiar in an eerie way. After all did ravens not connect back to the whole situation? Still Neraika was not gone just yet. She wanted them to glimpse her tiger striped hide. She wanted them all to know who they had failed to. She wanted to see their emotions for a moment and then be gone before any victory could be snatched away.
~Calm yourself young Aleiko. I come from your friend. He is in need of you.~ she sent to Aleiko. She did not harm him. In fact Neraika twisted her mind with her substantial psychic powers and made it seem her logic was perfect. She made herself, in essence, a perfect being with a sound mind and a friendly smile even if she was the exact opposite. He believed her.
He immediately relaxed. ~...Kre?~
~Yes.~
