"Gender is of no matter to my people." He said this truthfully, though to a much larger truth than they may have expected. He looked down at a hand and flexed his long fingers for a moment before looking back at Jun. "Oh very well I suppose, it would be to more effect should I meet your group as a hole. It is not as though Raiden is any more aware to my future arrival as you were, so no one except maybe the Elder Council will feel as though time is being wasted." He looked up from his hand to her again, white eyes cold. "Though they will have to arrive before nightfall, that is when I will likely be taking my leave, I do have a schedule to make. A rather loose schedule, but a schedule nonetheless." He looked over at the newcomers to the room, and stared extra hard at the bird. Especially the bird.

The bird looked over and tilted its head. For a moment it seemed to stare intently then hopped from Sephis' left shoulder to his right in way of avoiding Nervusuel's gaze. ...I think I've gained attention. What should I do? Kindra asked her partner who was still back where they'd separated.
Deal with it. Just act like a dumb bird. Got it?
Alright. Kindra agreed.

Nervusuel's gaze turned to Sephis and finally backed to Jun again. "Perhaps I should wait for the others to return in here? I only have the safety of your people in mind when I say that I do not want to wait out there where someone may be foolish enough to pull down my hood. There is a reason why I have blocked you all from seeing my face, and I would be angered if my efforts were for nothing. And when angered I tend to forget that people are what they are, and they become objects. Objects that can be replaced."

Sephis raised an eyebrow, but didn't dare to contact this man privately within the mind so he just posed his question out loud. "Sir, may I question as to why you are looking at me like that? Have I done something to gain attention?"

"Rather it is your bird that interests me the most." He spoke cool and collected, even if he still had that odd slurring accent. "Such a calm animal even down here out of the open skies. And its eyes... I have not seen very many birds in my time, but there is something different about that bird's eyes, they seem very intelligent." He chuckled lowly.

"Yes," Sephis nodded. "But we're all different than we seem are we not? Some of us Black Patrol members seem much less frightening than we are. I seem weak and feminine in a way compared to those with bulging muscles and a sharp mind yet I've earned my position same as any other."

Chiyo returned Sephis's friendly smile with one of her own, setting down her covered weapon against the wall and making herself comfortable using the cool stone as a convenient prop. She listened carefully to the exchange between Jun and Nervusuel, gazing pensively at the veins of magic-enhancing lazuli dashed across the roof of the chamber like captive lightening bolts.
Jun, having collected a number of documents from a drawer, re-entered the conversation. "Yes, appearances can definitely be deceptive in a place such as this. It isn't restricted to individuals and their talents, either; the caves have enough magic of their own to warp perceptions and cause misjudgement."
She settled the parchment rolls on her desk, spreading one out and analyzing it carefully. It appeared to be some sort of schedule, but it didn't hold its shape for long. The spelled ink shifted, tracing patterns across the white surface until the words fell into the neat, regimented lines of a report. After a moment, Jun nodded decisively, readdressing the ambassador with certainty.
"I can assure you, Nervusuel, that the other Faction leaders will be back before the sun sets. We have ways of recalling them. I'll look to it immediately." A smile curved its way across the battle-hardened general's face. "As for waiting here, we have a retiring chamber that ambassadors and delegates can use for rest during proceedings. It adjoins this chamber, if you wish to make use of it. I hope you'll excuse me while I give this patrol their orders, but after that I am at your disposal. Any queries you have about our operations, I will do my best to answer."
(Anyone fancy playing another Faction leader? I think I was a little over ambitious with the number of characters involved in this. *headdesk* Sorry, guys!)

"Oh very well." Nervusuel shrugged. "I have ways of keeping myself preoccupied so this 'retiring chamber' will not be so much of a bore." There was an odd glimmer in his eyes and he chuckled, starting to walk. "Don't bother getting any body to show me the way, I already know exactly which of these doors leads to it."

Sephis felt a shudder run down his spine. This hooded man creeped him out. Nervusuel wasn't normal... but then again who the hell was 'normal'?"
(short short short fail post... sorry... I'll take one if you want, Ven? :3)

Sephis sensed Riali's dislike and used the traditional means of communication, mental, to contact her in hopes to ease her worry. Well, Jun has deemed him safe to see. She has also requested the return of the other leaders so obviously he is not to worry about though I agree. I dislike him as well. His aura is quite uncomfortable.

Riali flinched. She had always disliked mental comunication. Having it used to torture you can do that sort of thing. If it had been any one elses voice in her head she would probably have attcked them but she knew Sephis well enough to know he wouldent try and pray into her mind to find secret information.

Realizing her discomfort, he offered his apologies. Then Sephis placed up mental barriers around any private sections of her mind. This meant he had basically walled off his presence so he could not touch any other part of her consciousness besides current thought.

A voice, sounding as though it was comming from far away whispered to him: "Thanks." She had been quite good at simple mind communication before the..insident but since then she had gone back to being bearly able to do it and since she dident like doing it and avoided it, chances were it would never be the same again.

Chiyo watched the hooded ambassador depart, her face a study in guarded speculation. Maybe a new alliance would be enough to rejuvenate the rebel faction, to give it the edge over Raiden and his loyalist forces. But, then again, where there is one option, there is always an equal and opposite counter.
'Jun... I hope you know what you're doing...'
The armour-clad leader inclined her head politely. "Very well - I will make sure to send a runner on the very instant of the other leaders' arrival, and I thank you for your patience, Nervusuel."
Her gaze turned to assess the attending members of the Black Patrol, and got straight down to business with a somewhat grim smile.
"There is news of rebellion stirring in the foothills of the mountains; Raiden will undoubtably send forces to quell the populace, and if his spies have found traces of us in the area, there will be members of the Twisted Knife acting both in public and in the shadows to smoke us out of hiding. You understand, I am sure, how absolutely imperative it is that our headquarters are not found. Your patrol will be extended to include the foothills, and appropriate action should be taken if an assassin or informant is discovered. Be sure to blend in with the people and stay undetected - there is no need to cause alarm to the public, no?"
(Thanks ryuu, Fury - feel free to bring in your Faction leader characters whenever. ^.~)
