Night came upon Black Claw mountain, the moon illuminating the massive structure of nature. Not much stirred for most creatures were asleep, there was a few still away, but they hadn't entered the open yet. The Lich smirked as he perched on the tip of the mountain's talon that was the highest up, watching the area for signs of movement. The red dragon's eyes caught all sights, he waited for either his allies or his enemies. It didn't matter to the Lich who came first.
Serrion shifted slightly and looked up from where he was laying. It was night now... The moon had not been in the sky very long, because it was not very high up. He stood up and stretched, he had been laying beside the lake, it reflected the moon well. He had fallen asleep some bit before night, to make sure he was rested before the 'fight'. He looked over to where Sheakria had been laying beside him to see if she was still there. Someone evil... Someone of a powerful evil was inside the mountain now... Somehow he could just tell...

Sheakria blinked, stirring from her rest. "...Serrion?" she asked, sleepily. She stretched out her emerald body and stood, looking at him to see if he was on edge and why.

Serrion nuzzled her lightly and looked up at the mountain place. "I think it's time... The battle hasn't started yet but it will soon. I can sense there's something powerful and evil in the territory... It might be Rafael." He looked back at her, from his eyes you could tell he wasn't scared, though maybe worried. "We're going to need your help..."

"I know, and I'm ready to give it." Sheakria replied, her eyes suddenly steely. "If Rafael wants a fight I'll sure as hell give him one. He's in for it."

He smiled, the worry mostly vanishing. He nuzzled her neck, much emotion behind that action. "Thank you, I don't think we could have asked for a better ally, Sheakria."

Moving silently, invisible against the ink black sky, Rafael smirked down at the mountain towering against the landscape. Not much had changed since the last time he'd been out and abroad. Time obviously didn't reach its cold fingers out to the earth, just the creatures that lived on it. He'd been running from that icy grasp for a long time now. Successfully. Tilting his wings into the wind with only the quietest rustle of feathers catching the air, Rafael watched and waited. It wouldn't be long now, he was certain. The moon was gone, the stars cold and distant. He could smell the tension on the air. The smirk widened. This was going to be interesting, to be certain. & Meanwhile... & The wind was picking up at exactly the worst time possible. Venus hissed as she strained against the force trying to shove her back from where she came. Night had fallen just after she'd left Fang Claw Mountain - there was no moon, obviously, so she only had the stars to guide herself back. "Stupid, stupid, stupid!" The whistle of the wind whisked away her growl before it even finished. Swerving away, she flew off on a tangent to try and find a calmer patch of air. She found one about half a mile west and set off again, following the north star sitting directly ahead of her. As she covered the miles, Venus felt a chill rolling down her spine. Something was... off. Wrong. Strange. Grimacing, she sped up. Seeing the now-familiar outline of Black Claw Mountain up ahead, she huffed out a long breath. Scanning the ground below, she started searching for any sign of life, whether it be friend or foe. She just wanted to make sure she hadn't been too late.

Lich looked up from his perch, at the empty sky and smirked to himself. Immediately sensing where Rafael was. ~You can't hide from me.~ He thought to himself before looking at the mountain. It was nearly devoid of life, at least dragon life. There was only a few dragons in the area, very small in comparison to the clan that had once been. He silently gave his compliments to the one who had caused such a massacre. He remembered that day many years ago he himself had struck and Black Claw mountain, he breathed deeply in the stench of death, it was invigorating.

Up in the sky, Rafael circled slowly once more. His inky violet-black hide kept him hidden and allowed him to scout out the area at his leisure. Closing his eyes, the dragon listened to the stillness.
There was Lich, perched high up on a mountain somewhere down and to the left. Some sort of movement just east of him, and then... Eyes snapping open, the feathered dragon grinned as he watched a distinctly blue-tinted shape moving over the treeline. "Got you." He whispered to the night air. Switching his attention over to the other two he'd picked up from his spot in the sky, his smile widened. Soaring a little closer, he peered down.
"And your friends too, maybe?"
Looking over at where he could feel Lich's presence tingling on the edge of his awareness, he nodded. ~Looks like they'll all be in one place. Makes it easier.~

Sheakria nuzzled him back affectionately. "I am proud to be your ally... If I were not I'm not sure what I would do. It is none of Gaulroach's business to interfere with Rafael. You would've been on your own."
She blinked, realizing that for the first time in ages she'd referred to her master without a title. It felt good in a way.

Serrion smiled back and spread his wings, taking off into the air. The wind of this night didn't bother him, spending as much time travelling as he had gave him stronger wings, they were powerful even if he wasn't that fast.

Sheakria stood and pumped her own wings, lightly rising up after him. She wasn't bothered by the night at all. So many missions had included night travel... so many had also brought death and murder. None had given her a sense of regret. And yet one had. She had betrayed Serrion's trust and it would always hang over her.
She angled herself a little to make up for the wind. How cold it felt against her warm shining scales... and yet it was nothing. Nothing at all. Just a simple touch of life. -------------- A glimmer of orange and black flashed across the skies as Neraika scouted. ~Master Rafael, the emerald and red are moving...Sheakria and Serrion I believe are their names?~

Venus moved slowly above the trees, gold eyes cautious as she looked around. She was certain now something was wrong, and elected to stop. Keeping herself in the air with the occasional wingbeat, she reached out with her senses and waited for something to ping.

Rafael looked up from where he was hanging comfortably in the air.
~Yes... that's them. I thought I recognized them from somewhere. Now... any preferences to how we're going to attack? Lich?~

~None in my case, M'lord.~ Raik replied. --- Sheakria called out to Serrion. "Should we send word to Talana or do you think she is on her way? I sense uneasiness all around us."

~I feel we should give them a fair shot.~ The Lich chuckled to Rafael. ~It's too easy and no fun to attack them from the shadows. Once they are together we should enter into the open. I wish to hear what things they have to say of you.~
