"Yes, it's true you would know then...but sometimes being prepared for any situation that could happen in a split-second is the best defense you could ever need or want."

Serrion rolled his eyes and sighed. Then rather unexpectedly rushed at Laida. But not unexpected enough. She dodged to the side. Hit him over the back with her tail. Knocking him to the ground once more. She stepped on his back with her front two paws, pinning him down. "This is exactly what I meen."

Zaine nodded silently and observant. It was interesting to see his technique.

Serrion snorted and a puff of smoke actually came out of his nostrils. "Are you going to get off me now?" He asked Laida. She tilted her head as if thinking of it. "No. I want to see you get yourself up." Serrion blinked. "Your kidding me?"

Laida just smirked. Serrion rolled his eyes. She knew he had more just plain strength. But when he tried to push himself up. One of her talons snuck between two scales on his neck and pinched a nerve there. Causing his limbs to once again go limp below him. "That is a usefull little spot to know. I wouldn't expect you to really know how to find it or to ever use it against an enemy. It only works if they are nearly still." She told him but then got off him anyways. She believed he had realized he had no where near her skill in combat.

Zaine nodded in observance. He didn't know much...

Serrion stood up finally. He rolled his eyes. He was begining to wonder if Laida would ever show him anything usefull. She looked over at Zaine. "Anything you'd like to demonstrate to Serrion?"

Zaine smiled slightly. "Perhaps my signature tailmove would be good? Though I'd have to do it in slow motion because it's usually too fast to mimick." He closed his eyes for a moment. In a split second his tail was wrapped inside a shining blade of golden light. It had only a few chinks in it from previous battles, as if it had become a sword he'd used his entire life. He whipped it around and struck three times, stopping just a tiny bit before actually hitting Serrion. When he stopped the blade was right at his neck. Zaine smiled slightly and then lowered it.

Serrion blinked then shook his head. "I couldn't do that. My tail's blunt."

"The magic is what makes it sharp. The light is really the blade, my tail is simply the staff and hilt."

Serrion nodded and smiled slightly. "Alright, I understand now. But I think it would be best if I didn't use strange magic I didn't understand.: Laida rolled her eyes. "We're supposed to be teaching him how to fight without magic anyways."

"Not really magic. It's more physical endurance than anything else...plus it's a good excersize to practice using it. Although..." Zaine trailed off before he knocked Laida with a few quick jabs in several pressure points that would cause her to feel small amounts of pain followed by a mental block preventing magic from being used.

Laida hissed as he did that. But on his last stab. She caught hold of his tail and flipped him off his feet.

He got up and shot a few more quick jabs before twisting around and attempting to catch her under the jaw with a talon.

Laida's head twisted up and then down. Catching his claw with her teeth.
