Laida shrugged. "If you wish."

"Thank you Lady Laida."

Laida nodded and smiled slightly. "You are welcome. But from now on just call me Laida. Lady Laida reminds me too much of a certain enemy green scaled dragon. She gives the rest of us greens a bad name."

Zaine smiled inwardly. "As you wish Laida."

Laida rolled her eyes then looked at Serrion. "Do you know any tecnics for fighting dragons what-so-ever?" Serrion shook his head. "No. I just sort of modify a little of how I fight wyverns." Laida rolled her eyes. "Then no wonder you were being tossed about by Talana when you fought her here. And from what I heard you couldn't even scratch Sheakria when you fought her."

"Oy! You'll need a bit more work on that then...being a dragon yourself I hope it's safe to assume you at least know weak points right? Use them to your advantage." Zain offered. "Anyway, I'll save the rest of the pep-talk cheap combat advice until we're actually at our destination."

"I know where soft points on our bodies are..." Serrion murmured. "Well that's a bit of a start." Laida said with a nod. "Do you know how to protect those areas?" Serrion shrugged. "Sort of..."

"Well at least he has some basic knowledge then. Do you know the best ways to strike depending on what clans the dragon is from? If you cannot acess their clan then knowledge of their spells and attacks is equally as useful."

"Excuse me?" Serrion asked tilting his head. "Now you've confused him." Laida said rolling her eyes at Zain.

"Sorry...I'm getting ahead of myself." Zaine chuckled. "For now I'll let Laida instruct. I'll simply listen unless I have more details to add."

Laida nodded. "That would be best." She looked back at Serrion. "Your magic is strong enough that you can defeat most opponents who are even more skilled than you. And you are of size and strength for most. Though against those who are skilled in battle and magic, it would be hopeless."

Zaine gave a curt nod, she was good at this...he had to admit. She was pretty too, but he was too old for her of course.

"So how do you suppose a conflict between you and I would go. Without magic?" She asked him. Serrion shook his head. "I don't know..." Without warning Laida darted forward. Her tail snapped by his face. As his body raised up, he blinked from it. She darted to his side than under his belly. Lifting up with him sort of on her back. Cathcing him off his feet. She tilted to one side and he fell flat on his back. "Sort of like that." She said with a grin, standing over him. Serrion snorted as he rolled back onto his belly. "I thought you were going to teach me. Not attack me."

"Sometimes demonstrating is the best way of teaching. Words are empty unless you put them into action." Zaine explained.

Serrion snorted. "She could have at least given me a fair warning." "Do your opponents normally give you warning?" Laida asked him. "No but at least I know I'm in battle then." He growled.
