Laida led Serrion into an open area in the training grounds. Away from the other fighters so they had space. "You have certainly met alot of friends on your travels." Laida said glimpsing over at him. Serrion nodded. "Yes, I have met more but many I have not seen for years. These are ones I have cept contact with best I could." Laida nodded this time. "Now that we are on our own for now. There is something I need to ask." Serrion tilted his head, "Sure, what is it?" "What the hell were you thinking!" Laida hissed baring teeth at him. "What?" Serrion jumped back not sure what she was hissing about. "That female, Ritorion. I know who she is!" Laida growled angrily. "And you brought her here!" "Oh..." Serrion murmured, that...

"Don't be so hard on him." came a deep voice. Out stepped a dark orange dragon known as Zaine amoung the Shining Scales. He was renowned for fighting Sheakria and giving her a rather nasty beating, though she is obviously still alive and rather sore at everybody. He winked one of his golden eyes at Serrion, a quite noticable scar ran across his eyelid and down towards his muzzle where Sheakria had caught him with her tailspike. "The lad means well."

"He has brought the very spawn of our worse enemy." Laida growled. "I know he is not our enemy and I don't believe Ritorion is either. But if an elder were to find out..."

"Aye, that she is. But I don't think you should be so harsh on him. Plus, I am sure Ritorion is to be trusted." Zaine replied. One eye was watching Laida, the other seemed to be just watching Serrion.

"The elders are not always so trusting." Laida stated.

"Such is life." Zaine shrugged before turning his back to Laida and bowing to Serrion. "My name is Zaine. I've been wanting to meet you for some time."

Serrion blinked and glanced at Laida. "I didn't know that any one here really knew about me."

"Not all do, but I've heard enough. You'd be surprised what you can get out of a small mental link with Sheakria; even if it was the result of a battle."

Serrion blinked. He had never been good with that kind of stuff. He could make contact with anouther's mind but not break into it.

He shot Serrion a grin. "I was once part of an ancient and destroyed clan called the Mentalici Dragons. We specialize in things having to do with the mind...like using old wounds given by an opponent to our advantage in order to break into their mind. I have done so with the dragon Sheakria. That is how I know of you."

Serrion nodded. "How long ago was the last time you fought her then?"

"Many years, fifty in fact. Although since the link still exists I can freely extract small amounts of info."

"Well if you want to fight her again you should join in our skirmishes then." Laida snorted. "We rarely see her in such but sometimes she joins in for the thrill of battle."

"Thrill smill! I know her enough to realize that she joins to show strength. She's a pig-headed sludge-ball who won't risk loosing her rank." Zaine snorted. "And I'd rather not fight her for a bit longer. I don't want to risk breaking the link."

Laida rolled her eyes. "So you continue to lay around in the city. It is a shame when a good warrior grows fat."
