This isn't official business, either, so, here I am once again! XD
Umm... I've always wished I could write poetry... Apparently, a lot of people here are good at it... Could someone like, teach me how to write good poetry? Or give tips and all?

Sure! Alright, here's basically a few tips. 1) Just keep writing! You'll get good with practice! Try all the kinds of poems you find and see which ones you like best, maybe start out with a nice haiku, wakka, or free-verse. 2) Not all poems have to ryme. At first go for simple things, then try installing hidden meanings into your simple poems, eventually go for meaningful poems that ryme. 3) Don't go for length. When you push yourself too hard to make it long then sometimes the quality of the writing turns out poor. Stick to short and sweet ones at first and then as you get good make them longer! Remember, a good poem isn't always a super long one. 4) READ BOOKS! And not just poetry ones either, all kinds. Even fantasy provides the inspiration you need to write. 5) Always keep a notepad and sketchpad near your bed and with you as much as possible. You never really know when a good idea will strike.

1) I write nearly everyday, from stories to roleplays ^^ 2) Never been able to make anything rhyme. I thought all poems had to rhyme XD 3) Maybe that's why it's so hard *Always tries to make things long* 4) I never read, lol. I prefer roleplaying. 5) I have a notebook with me at all times XD
*Wants to make meh first poem somehow dragon-related* How exactly do you start poems? Like... I don't know anything about it. Also, free-verse is the only kind I've ever tried. I likes them best.

You're on your way... I always start my poems with a meaningful sentence or something that states the subject of the poem...like in my song/poem for my new story I'm writing I started it with 'Sing a song my dragon child bring back what was lost' Oh, and sometimes poems end up changing. I wrote one about a cat once and it ended up being about prowling shadows o.o
