Venus nodded. "It's fine, don't worry about that. I'm sure Leander won't mind if you accompany him to get some breakfast...?"

She blinked and nodded politely to Venus. "Of course, I have not eaten since leaving the wastes."

"I'll let you head off with him then - I'm just going to have a rest for a while. It's been a long night." She chuckled, before smiling genuinely at Nerinda and turning to head back through the trees.

{I'm dragging Venus off to a new board now for the next plot-like thing. ^^ *drags in Leander* Hope that's alright Serrion xD}
The clearing quickly came into view, and Leander looked up. Venus smiled reassuringly at him. "Leander, could you head out hunting with Nerinda? I'm just going for a fly and a nap to clear my head."

Nerinda spread her wings, revealing the green membrane. "Of course that's if you think you can catch a Black Mountain deer. I wouldn't at all be surprised if you were just a bit slow."

Leander grinned, and unfolded his own wings. "I'll give it a go - been a while since I've had some proper hunting practice. Should be interesting to see how rusty I am..." With that and a rakish smile, he took off.

Nerinda smiled back and took off into the air after him.

Leander dodged a rain cloud, getting half-soaked in the process. Blinked through the water, he shook his head vigourously. "Not exactly a good start there. Ah well - now then, these deer..."

Nerinda laughed slightly and flew a little lower, just over the tree tops. "Their hard to find if you don't know what to look form. Some's fur are black or grey, so they blend in with the mountains."

Leander nodded, listening carefully while scanning the ground below. "Makes sense. Sounds like good prey, so it should be a good hunt." Another rakish grin, and he was dipping lower, wings wide to make his flight silent.

Nerinda smiled, even though she had never been here before, she still actually knew all this. She tasted the air with her toung. She could smell a group of them, she waited though to see if Leander could find the beasts.

Slowing his flight again a little, Leander caught a strange scent on the breeze. It smelt like normal deer, but also strangely enough like ash. "Is there a pack of them down there?" he questioned, peeing through the cloud cover.

Nerinda just gave him a sly smile and flew a different way then him. She was not going to tell him if he had found them or not, she would just hunt in a different spot. Hehad to find his own deer without her help.

Leander shut his eyes and reached for his magic. Tracking these deer would be pretty difficult. Gazing downwards, he locked on to a life sign; whether it was a deer or not, he was too far up to be able to tell. He flared his wings and descended, slowly and silently.

Nerinda smirked and dived down where she was, fast and abbruptly. She pulled up and held the struggling mammal in her front claws, her back ones coming forward to allow her a better grip on it, she quickly snapped it's neck with her teeth. The deer really did have a dark stone grey color of fur, and it's antlers were almost black.
