The heat of battle cause Ebony to become pure movement. She was the same angel of destruction she was in the center of a battle field. The hissing demons were the opponents and though they seemed able to communicate she was unfazed. The black dragoness smirked heavily. She ignored the liquid on the floor. It was of no concern. Her new target was the one who gave the demon Shade was handling instructions. She growled deep in her chest and struck again. This time she drove her tail forth and not her claws. No sense in expending extra effort... she reasoned.

As the demon turned back to face Ebony her tail impaled right through its neck. It did not gargle like would any mortal creature cut through the throat as such, but let out a more horrifying screech than before. It clawed and bit at her tail desperately, but like the other one dissolved away.
Shade brought his arm back and then chucked his axe forward. The creature stepped away at the last moment and it only slashed through its wing. Then the demon stepped forward and stabbed with its tail. One blade impaled Shade through the chest, the other right through his helmet and where his forehead would have been. There was no blood, but for a minute the armored man hung limply impaled on the tail.

With flashing eyes, Ebony spun. She left the creature she struck to die. The screech was embedded into her mind but she ignored it for now. Shade needed her assistance. "Face me you whelp!" She snarled at the beast. She struck once more, tail preforming a graceful arc toward the shadow creature's neck.

It jumped away from her to avoid the strike. Shade stirred again, his flail raised into the air and struck hard, breaking both tail spikes off, which dissolved into nothing.

Taking advantage of her skill level, Ebony growled. She waited for Shade to behind his strike then closed the distance between herself and the creature. She struck again.

With the spikes gone Shade dropped to the ground, he seemed a bit unsteady on his feet and there were large holes in his chest and going through his helmet. The shadowy dragon moved further away from Ebony and Shade, manuevering itself towards the door and aiming to try and avoid her attacks.

Ebony hissed. She sideglanced at Shade, making a quick but brief mental connection.
~Inform me of your status please. Are you stable or unable to continue the fight?~ Shade was mysterious thing to her. Dark magic had always been Gaulroach's field so she never quite knew what to believe of him or his shadowy followers. Meanwhile she became slightly distracted.

~I am fine. My armor has been damaged however, so I move slower.~
The shadow dragon turned to run.

Ebony didn't respond to him. She was content enough to hear he was alright. The shadow beast drew her attention with its turning. She hissed at it, red eyed and angry. "Oh no you don't!" she growled with exposed fangs. She leaped on it. Her claws and tail flashed in multiple swift strikes.

The creature fell under her onslaught, and just like the others turned into a dark puddle on the ground. Shade looked around at the three just to make sure they were the only enemies. "They have fallen, and Daigmar will now know that we are not a force to fall so easily. He no doubt hoped that removing the leader of his opposition he would demouralize them and end the one threat to his plans."

Ebony snorted, a gesture that could be nothing less than contempt and resentment in meaning. She cast a glance over the room. "He cost me my vines." She muttered. Her eyes flashed green and new ones trailed over the walls near the door. The magic was then severed but not entirely gone due to all the wards in the room and other magical items. Her attention shifted back to Shade. "If Daigmar believes he is enough of a grown dragon to conflict me, I wish him the best of luck. For only if he is one of the greatest fighters will he be able to topple the tower I and the life I have built for myself and my followers. I have invested too much time and energy into this life and he will quickly discover I'm not willing to give up. My will is iron and he will never succeed in removal of this leader or any other if I have anything to say or do about it."

"Of course." Shade bowed. "But next time he may send more assassins, as you can see it is not hard for them to get places. Almost no guards can prevent them access to you. Or he may choose to simply wait for this grand shadow to engulf all land around it. Such are the reasons Gaulroach wishes to speak tactics with you on his return."

"Hmmm... I see," Ebony said. Her red eyes narrowed. "Well I will have to be sure to do so. Gaulroach understands shadow magic far more than I and we will need him to be able to stop this. I am sick of waiting and thinking. This assassination attempt has brought me to action. Daigmar will regret waking my fury."

Shade stood, as tall as he could with the way his armor had been rended through. "If I may suggest... you know another who has a great knowledge of shadow magic, and shadow demons."

She tilted her head. "Who? If you're talking about Jakkin I doubt he would be very helpful. He and Flaq have caused me more conflict than assistance."
