When Gaulroach had left Ebony's chambers to greet his daughter it had left Ebony alone, so she could finally rest. Unfortuneatly for her sleep it was not long after that a mist seemed to gather in the room, and a dragon of shining golden scales appeared before her. The dead elder Blood Dragon watched Ebony for a moment before speaking. "Ebony, I'm affraid I have to disturb your sleep."

Ebony opened one eye. Generally she was not so easily woken but even in her sleep she had enough of a raised awareness to recognize Shavron when he was around. She yawned and stretched out in a feline manner then fully opened both eyes. She fixated her crimson gaze on him and nodded. "You know you're always allowed to. However I have to inquire why... though I suspect you're about to alert me to that."

"The way it seems at the moment, my half brother is too weak right now to prove much help to anyone, even protecting himself... I sense him getting weaker and I sense Daigmar getting ready to act." Shavron's gaze turned to the window. "I know a way to remove the demon from his soul without killing him, and then something that will help him survive even with the loss of his rider."

Ebony looked away. It hurt her to hear the words spoken out loud. She just could not connect 'weak' with 'Gaulroach'. It made no sense to her. Still she regained composure and looked back at Shavron directly even though he was looking at the window's decorative stained glass depicting Crimson in flame-form. Ironic she had it placed there. Still she nodded, dismissing any idea spawned from the window itself.
"...And you intend to tell me? Or are you here to alert me that there is a way and just to let me wonder?"

"I will tell you what you need to do, but I'm afraid I cannot inform you on anything. Forgive me but... Given the knowledge I am afraid of what your reaction may be." Shavron shifts and looks back to her.

Ebony nodded. It was understandable. Depending upon the news she tended to have quite varied reactions, some of which turned violent. She settled herself back down into a comfortable laying position, keeping her head raised to watch Shavron's movements. "Well if you fear my reactions then you had best tell me what you can. I would prefer to know what I may then move from there."

"There is a place I need you to go, with my half brother of course. Two days north, I can guide you there myself." Shavron waved a claw infront of himself, and the misty image of a mountain appeared. "Shadow peak, there is a large cave system underneath the mountain, much like that of my clan's tunnels. Deep inside there is a large cavern, one with a ruby of immence size hanging from the ceiling. You need to bring him there"

She memorized the image and the words she had been told. Fortunately Ebony considered herself to have been gifted with good memory. "I shall do my best... But what if he asks how I know? Will I be able to mention your name to him or shall I remain cryptic?"

"You may mention my name to him, we may be enemies but he knows I am not the type to use trickery. He will be curious about why I am helping him, but he will know that I would not offer help unless I meant to actually help." Shavron's eyes flashed. "In his condition he is not likely to refuse. What I will tell you, and this you cannot tell him, is that it will remove the demon... That may cause the demon to resist, all you can tell him is that it will help him survive."

Ebony frowned. "...If it helps him to survive by removing the demon you sure as hell had better have done your research Shavron. I don't want him dying. You know that more than anyone- maybe even more than he does. I may or may not still... well I may or may not still enjoy his company more than as a friend or rival's so I don't want his life ending just from taking a risk. The only death that would ever befit Gaulroach would be a warrior's one."

"All is soul and magic will be sucked dry if the demon is not removed." Shavron spoke quietly. "This way will remove the demon, and give return his lost strength. There is only but... One thing that worries me." Shavron closed his eyes, the next words he spoke slowly. "It has the potential to make him even more powerful than before."

Something in her eyes like the flip of a switch shifted from friend to leader, from lover to rival. Ebony's face hardened over into a mask of determination. "That concerns me as well. While it will save his life and he will owe me for my assistance, more power is not to my advantage. I don't need to lose ground to him in our struggle between the two of us."

"It is hard to say how he will act upon it... He will be removed of the demon so he will likely return to how he acted before the death of his rider... Like he is now. But power effects all of us, I cannot say whether his willpower is strong enough to resist changing because of it."

"Hmm..." Ebony let out a sort of humming sound as she paused for a thought which turned into the first few bars of some melody. Still she stopped the nodded. "...We shall see."

Shavron nodded, his misty form starting to dissipate. "I will leave the decision to you Ebony." And he was gone.
