Serrion sat beside the small lake that sat dead center in the palm of the mountain, his tail dipping lazilly into the water. He looked out at the reflection of the trees on its surface, thinking to himself. He was here because he had moved away from the others, it had just been getting too... Crowded back there. It was quiet with far more space here. Though he was glad to see Ritorion, nothing could be said with all these other dragons running around in his clan's territory. He had spent most of his life on his own, he was not used to this.

A message floated into Serrion's mind, familiar presence accompanying the words. By now mental communication was as easy to Sheakria as just opening her mouth. ~Hello Serrion. I'm sorry to interrupt your thoughts but I wanted to know how you were doing. Is Ebony on her way back yet?~

Serrion blinked. He could feel the strain... The strain of how far away she was, it was hard to make contact from that distance. ~I'm... Not certain. Strangers came to the mountain, I left to get my space. I don't know if Ebody is still there.~

Sheakria could sense the strain as well and where she was she shifted her wings uncomfortably and closed her eyes. Fortunately Ebony had kept true to her word and left her a nice room to rest in. While she was known to enjoy sleep she felt it was more important to speak with him. ~Ah... well she hasn't returned as of yet so I assume she still is. I'm sorry that it is hard for you and I to maintain speech this far away. If you'd prefer I could wait until the distance is less for the next time we do?~

~I am just not much used to speaking mentally.~ He answered her back. ~Next time it would be better if we were closer.~

~Alright, I'll make sure I wait next time then,~ she agreed. ~I'd think you'd be at least getting used to it by now since you and I tend to only speak this way. I'm sorry I've had to make myself scarce. Still even if it is for Gaulroach, when called I must come.~ It felt strange...yet natural at the same time... every time she was around Serrion or simply talking to him she left out Gaulroach's title as her Lord. Instead he was just Gaulroach just as any other dragon would have their name used even if it lowered the standard of respect she should have been giving the black dragon.

~I cannot handle distance.~ Was the last thing he sent before he became distracted. Distracted because he recognized a presence in his homeland... It had come so suddenly and without warning, a powerful and dangerous presence... Yet perhaps weaker than he was used to sensing it. Serrion spun away from the water to look upon his enemy... The great black dragon was sitting just a ways off from him, looking down at him, red eyes in quiet contemplation. Not a smirk on his lips... And Serrion could see the wound on Gaulroach's chest, fresh and trickling of blood. Serrion stood, tail lashing and sending water spraying behind him. Anger raging inside him for Gaulroach to come here... He had tolerated him at Ebony's tower but... Gaulroach watched in understanding. "I have come to talk Hellkite."

Sheakria could feel their connection break and panic consumed her. What was wrong? Immediately she had an idea. Gaulroach... Or was it? She couldn't sense his presence quite so strongly here in Ebony's tower but then again she wasn't used to the magic surrounding the tower itself so it could be discounted as interference.
(not much to say)

( You could always bring a dragon that is in the mountain here )
"You are not welcome here, no matter what reason you came for." Serrion hissed. "If I wanted to talk to you I would come to Ebony's tower to do so." "But you wouldn't. You and I both know you would never be the one to start the conversation. Under normal circumstances I would not bother you like this, but these are not normal circumstances." Gaulroach's tail lifted up and back on the ground, such a simple and effortless act caused the trees to slightly shake. Such was Gaulroach's strength and size. "Your brother Daigmar is possessed by powerful demons. For a long time he has not been in my control, I had tolerated it because I did not know at the time he had connections strong enough to make his imminent betrayal an actual threat to me. Now I come to you because I and Ebony alone can not stop him, not without a dangerous amount of casualties to both our forces. We need more power for such a thing, power like the spirit that resides within your soul." Serrion glared at him, golden eyes burning with fiery anger. "Why would I help you?" "Because Daigmar threatens not only me, any life in general. Because he is a threat more direct and sooner to come to pass than myself and because I know how much you want to kill me with your own claws. And you won't be able to avenge your clan if I slowly waste away because of a curse placed on me. No, I know you too well Serrion. You want to kill me, you want to be the only one, you want to avenge your clan who's death was caused because of the sole reason of your existence. You fear retribution will be stolen from you."

Sheakria let out a growl to herself, mumbling several curses. If her suspicions were right she would certainly have to leave Ebony's tower and find out why. - Ebony raised an eyebrow ridge as she entered from the shadows of the treeline. She looked exhausted from the repairing of the forest but she settled in a good distance away from Gaulroach. "Ah, so this conversation is had at last?"
(she left the people on Fanning the Flames obviously)

Serrion snorted and spread his wings. "We just got over another disaster here on my clan's territory. We do not need another so soon." Serrion took off into the air to get away from the dark Dragon.
Gaulroach sighed and looked to Ebony.

Ebony offered a strange sort of gaze. It was almost like sympathy but at the same time something else. "Perhaps he will come around. If not then we will have to do the inevitable. We are strong, yes, but how-so? We will have to face the fact that Daigmar will be more than we can handle alone even with our armies. Strange feeling, no? To fight and not have assured victory. It isn't our way."

"You are right, victory is not assured. Even if we put all our effort into this... There will be too many casualties, and we will both be drained of most our energy. Me possibly to the point of no recovery." Gaulroach's gaze was held on her, his eyes were not so easily read. "He may have not been expecting me to come to you for help, but now he realizes that I will be gathering my strength and so he will prepare for when I unleash it. No matter his preparations, he cannot be ready for the Hellkite."

"That is...if the Hellkite decides to help us. He has his own will as does Serrion and both may conflict each other. We will have to wait and see what happens. If nothing else I may be able to claim it as a favor from Serrion but I would prefer not to since it is by force. Force never earned me trust from him."

Gaulroach laughed and shook his head. "I am not near strong enough to try force with him, at this point he and the hellkite could crush me without that much resistance. I had not even flew here... I left your tower by wing not much longer after you two and then followed." Gaulroach's eyes flashed and he looked out away, as if looking at some distant sight. His wound started to bleed again and he seemed distracted by whatever sight or sound he was seeing or hearing.
