It had been a long, hard flight.
She'd almost caught up with the source of the magic she was following, but it had slipped away at the last minute.
Now that had annoyed her. She'd had to stop and do another reading, for goodness sake! She didn't think she'd done two so close together for a long while now, and it was really starting to tell.
Speeding through the clouds, Aisling's wings were drooping and the spark in her eyes had dimmed - but not much, because she'd almost caught up.
After months of traveling, she'd finally be able to help whoever it was that needed it, and get back on with the business of doing her normal routine of aimless wandering.
Aisling chuckled, the sound rumbling through the air. If the Doran elders found out that she was off the trade-route, they'd be on her like a pack of hungry dogs, demanding she be revoked or her abilities tested or whatever it was those old dragons did when they got angry or someone stepped out of line.
Up ahead, she sensed her destination, and dipped to land.

Venus had settled in a clearing, hidden deep within the Moon Forest.
She'd flown long and fast, heading straight through Blood Dragon and Moon Dragon territory as fast as she dared.
The link block was beginning to fizzle out now that she was near her friends again, but she could still feel it on the edge of her thoughts, shutting her off from Isandre, and what she was beginning to expect was her voice of reason.
She grinned - yep. She had been a little irrational lately, especially with that high-speed fly. Out of shape, she was now. Maybe a good battle would do her good after all.
Venus stilled as something brushed on the edge of her awareness.
Now, what was that?
Squinting up, she spotted a dark green shape and was immediately on guard. Another dragon, most definitely.
Had she been tailed? By an agent of Rafael, or a friend, or just a random stranger? Or was that just her being paranoid?
The dragoness landed in front of her with a thud, and met her gaze with steady green eyes.
Venus returned it in equal measure, and waited for a introduction, an attack, or whatever she was in for.
