Der felt his hands and feet turn into claws, his teeth become fanged and his eyes burn a glowing red. He smiled at her though, even as his features became feral and a bit wolven like. "The forest is always more peaceful than the city."

Of course... Though I suppose half the commotion of the city comes from me. Not many humans are all that at ease around a wolf the size of a horse who's stealing food at times in order to fill herself. Strangely enough, I managed to get a turkey without much noise today. Though I enjoy the food here in the forrest far more...

Der nodded, still watching her. "I prefer to hunt animals instead of humans... Human souls... Make me feel guilty..."

I've never eaten a human before... I probably never will. I know how much trouble it can cause. Only once have I ever tasted human blood and I liked the taste... But never again. I don't want to end up being hunted to my last breath like the other Dire Wolves.

He nodded. "It's not that I fear. It's when I do eat from their soul, I see every wrong they had ever commited. i see their bad memorys like it was my own."

Ah...a gift and yet a curse. I hate it when that happens. she replied with an understanding nod.

Der nodded, looking out at the forest. "Animals are different. To them there is no real good and evil, they just do what they were ment to do."

She smiled at him. That would be an interesting point of view through my eyes... Animal and yet human somehow.

Der nodded. "you would see things differently too... Being an animal that can think and feel like a human."

Sometimes I wonder if my soul would indeed be black... I don't have the same purpose as the humans, nor do I have the same as an animal. I'm just trapped between the two so different worlds. I kill which is considered a sin... but it isn't for pleasure. I am a creature of fantasy such as the unicorn which are remembered for their beauty and pure souls. I can never be sure of where I fit into this world.

"Killing is not a true sin." He said lowly, his eyes flashed in responce. "Every creature has to kill to survive... My soul is black only because of what I am, apparently what I am is an evil creature even if at heart I am good."

She smiled at him. I suppose it doesn't matter... You can be good if you want to be. Right?

He nodded and looked out at the forest. Testing the air for hints of life, he could sense the soul of every animal out there even if he couldn't tell exactly where.

Concealed by a screen of leaves and branches up in the treetops, Maha dug her sharp nails into the bark. Her rendezvous hadn't yet arrived, and she was beginning to grow impatient. She had ventured out into the forest to vent some steam, but instead ended up settled in a canopy of foliage, watching and waiting for the one she was waiting for to arrive. With a frustrated huff, the teen wrapped herself in her black cloak and sat back on her haunches.
'Whatever happened to arriving on time?'

She sniffed the air and grinned. There's a lot of prey out here... Perfect. Maybe I'll be able to fill myself.
