( I'm surprised you used the D&D name for dark elves. You don't play it ) "So you need some one to help watch your back?" He asked her, his green eyes glanced to her dagger, this was the first time they left her eyes. "So you want someone to help you kill things? Or is there something else, is this problem something else than simple killing?"

(lol But I KNOW about it. Just 'cuz I don't play it doesn't mean I'm illiterate with it.) "This is also a matter of my prey....I cannot bring who I am hunting down alone. A simple matter if my skills weren't matched so well against his." Her hand was off her dagger now.

"What is your prey?" He asked her, this time his hand moved with expression at what he said. She seemed to have caught his curiosity.

She smirked slightly. "The only half dragon currently in existance...."

"In existance is a strong word." He said to her as his green eyes narrowed. "Somewhere in the world there would be one else. It's not often that a dragon mates with a non-dragon. But even still, you're not thinking of the big picture." One fist clenched, one thing she might have noticed was the twitch that went through his body when she said "half". "Why are you trying to kill it?" He asked her.

"A rather large sum of money is on this half dragon's head...AND it is my job. He is the reason I am not comfortably killing whomever I wish right now. He stole my magic long ago...and the only way to get it back it to destroy him entirely."

He was silent for a moment. His green eyes seemed to be downcast and yet again he was either thinking deeply or just slow. "My brothers do need meat... We have not had a good raid in weeks..."

"I'd give you a slice of the reward...the money is nothing to me. All I wish is for my magic back."

He looked back up at her, his eyes fierce as they fovussed on hers. "Where is this... Half... Dragon." He spoke in a drow elvish voice. (alright, if you understand D&D vocabulary. What is the proper name for a mindflayer?)

(>< I haven't actually played the game....I know some stuff is all. Pretty much anything I find useful to know...like the term for one of my favorite races aka the Drow.) She smiled slightly. "Glad you asked...currently he is moving east from a city called Vestue. If we move in the right direction we could easily cut him off."

"And how do you plan we kill him?" He asked her, now speaking in the drow version of the elvish language. "Obviously not subtle assassination else you would probably do it yourself, but you don't seem like one who likes frontal fights."

"We fight him....with dragon bane. I have some handy...though I can't get at him to get it in his system. We have to attack him and fight him, and use the distraction to get the bane in his blood network."

He laughed quietly and shook his head. "Any reason why slicing off his head or other deaths by blade won't work?"

"He's got more defense than you think...Speed...and strength. It takes more than me to take him down. I'm not strong enough...and speed is nothing if you can keep up but can't land a hit. I haven't got magic to help me, he does."

"Well I'll enjoy the chance of fighting him." He said as one hand sort of edged towards his huge sword. "This will be one step closer to slaying a full dragon."
