Fen remained silent, features blank aside from a strange twinkle in her eyes. "We're all corrupt in a way." She continued conversationally. "But not all of us can claim to have a cause to fight for. You're lucky in that respect... Sheakria."

Sheakria blinked in surprise. "You called me by my name... how is it that you could know it? I realize I am well known but not to the land of the dead. You are not a dragon I know..."

Fen continued looking outwards, sitting silent and still. "You may not know me now, but you did. Once. A long, long time ago."
A smile, self-deprecating, slid very easily across her features.
"Maybe it's arrogant for me to presume, eh? Getting confidant in my old age."

Sheakria snorted. "I don't understand what you mean...Fenrill." She blinked in surprise. "How... how did I know that?"

Fenrill chuckled. Sitting back a little, she stated. "That's me. Israludafensildirire. Or just Fenrill, like you said. Guess there's still something of my old friend in you after all."
Regarding the dragoness next to her with a steady, surprisingly clear gaze, Fen said quietly. "Have you ever thought about reincarnation Sheakria?"

The emerald nodded. "Quite often in fact. Seems everyone these days does."

That steady gaze didn't waver.
"What would you say if I told you are a reincarnation of one of my best friends?"

Sheakria blinked. "I doubt I am like anyone you knew. I am a bitter dragon, focused on fighting and blood."

Fen smiled a little.
"Even if you are, you are still alike in small ways. Determination and loyalty, right? In my understanding of reincarnation, you are simply a different facet of the same soul. Events shape who we are Sheakria; I reckon you know more about that than some. But hey, that's enough of my rambling."

This brought a smile to Sheakria's lips. "Aye... that I know for sure." She tilted her head in thought. "So tell me... what was your friend like, Fenrill?"

Fen sat back looking to the sky, eyes glassing over.
"Her name was Esmeya. We travelled together along with a dragon called Rafael. He died for Es, and so did I, thinking about it, in a roundabout way. She was a brilliant flyer, a strong mage... she was my friend."

"Sounds like she was a great one." Sheakria replied, her smile growing to a normal one. "Reminds me of one I used to have."

Fen quirked a eye ridge and grinned at Sheakria.
"She was you, so there you go. Raf would have said the same."
Hearing the last comment, she looked up to the sky again. "Friends like them are rare, but the best you could have."

Sheakria sighed, clenching a claw. "Unless they end up betraying your trust like mine did."

Fen smiled lightly and shook her head, a minute movement.
"Even the best of friends can sometimes get their wires crossed."
