((alright, I hope this one will be more popular ^^)) You hear a voice in your head...a quiet growl, an old friend talking... Come to me my desert child..come and take an egg. But first you'll have to pass a trial, come and hatch an egg. Come to me it's been a while, come and take and egg. But first you'll have to pass my trial, come and hatch and egg. It was alluring...beautiful in every way, a song..a beat..a call for you from far away...from the ancient desert of Rashiken. Go desert child, go and meet destiny.
In a sandstone cave, made by magic and worn by time, sits a large dragon. It was over 100 feet long and taller than three houses stacked...the last of the greatest sized dragons. It was a female, dark purple with saphire eyes. It sits nearby a large nest, six eggs inside that. The life and love is leaving this last large dragon's eyes. It was nearing the time for her to join her kindrid...so she was using magic, the little she could muster...to call six 'heroes' as she'd dubbed them to take her eggs and allow her to rest in peace.
A girl of 16, having a hunger for adventure and no home to speak of, was already climbing the mountains that seperated her from the desert. It was such an odd place for mountains to be, so why were they here? That is what this girl was wondering...and why was she hearing a voice in her mind that was so sing-song and familiar, but yet she couldn't remember who it was?
The eggs- Darkness: black with red thorns twisted around it...there's a dark ebony purple rose on it as well...will only hatch for the evil at heart
Light: yellow with swirling white patterns...will only hatch for the pure of soul
Earth: light clay brown with grass blades on it...will only hatch for those who care for Mother Nature
Fire: hot to the touch....bright red with a blackened coal bottom....will only hatch for the brave
Air: Sky blue with white puffy clouds...will only hatch for the quick of wit and mind
Water: Almost crystaline and surrounded by mists...will only hatch for those who are kind despite what the risks of doing so is

((Use different colors for your charries...for the girl I am using 'teal' and for the dragon I am using 'purple' which means nobody else can use those colors....oh, and I may use 'orange' sometimes too, so nobody can use orange either.))

((then start RPing XD)) The girl kept climbing, attempting desperately to get up...then her foot gave way and she topled downwards until she knocked onto a ridge. They've found the first trial... the dragon said aloud before concentrating her magic again and sending out the call....

It was only midday, but the sky hung low, as dark as weathered steel. Sand from the warm desert like tiny chips of ice pelted and attacked anything that dared to venture towards the dry land. The sand turned the shoulders of a figure's white cloak tan and gathered in its folds where it lay across the powerful rump of its stallion. The girl was tall, her human blood having given her the same strong frame as her father, with broad shoulders and violet eyes that gave off a threatening glare. The other half of the blood that flashed through her veins was elven, granting her the beauty of her mother, with a slender body that almost looked fragile, and a talent with weapons. When she fought any attacker she had enough grace and beauty that it almost looked like she was dancing with the other instead of trying to draw blood. A bow was strung across her chest; a quiver of arrows was attached to a weaved belt that hung over her hips to form as a belt. Her sword, Rívender--spell-cast and elf-forged--hung at her side, its two-handed grip twisted with gold-wire and studded with a great sapphire set in a silver griffin's claw. Clamped between her strong thighs, her black stallion stretched its muscular neck and fought the bit, trying to outrun the gusts of sand, that was bounding gracefully over the dunes, letting out a long, sharp wail. The elf-girl reined back, forcing the excited stallion to slow down. The girl, Sabriel, looked out at the dunes with her back facing the large mountains that seem to've appeared out of nowhere. Her eyes flickered from one sand dune to the next, looking for the source- a sound- of a voice that rang inside of her head. She urged it to stop but it ignored her curses and threats and continued. It had driven her crazy enough to make her saddle her only horse and ride out into the biting desert. She looked up at the grey sky with a look of regret. It looked like a desert storm was rising. And fast.

She screamed and slipped again after a few steps of climbing and this time fell right into Sabriel.

When the girl fell, she fell onto the back of the stallion, and successfully spooked it in the process and threw it's rider in the air, along with the girl. Sabriel landed on both feet gracefully with one hand in front touching the ground; as if she had meant to fall off the horse and had been practicing it. Her eyebrows clashed together and her violet eyes narrowed, looking at the horse and then to the girl. She got up and quickly walked over to the black stallion, and instantly made it calm down gradually by whispering soft words into its ear. When the excited stallion was calm her eyes flashed dangerously down to the girl who had fallen from above. She looked around at the mountains, looking for any signs of an ambush before striding over to where the girl lay. Eyes still narrowed into slits, she stood above the girl and looked down on her. There was a long silence and a few exchanged glances before Sabriel spoke. "Who are you, and what is your purpose here?" It was quick and simple, and the words had a tone of sharpness to them.

"Almai...I may be crazy, but I'm following a voice I heard in my head...to the desert."

Sabriel was silent for a moment as she stared at the girl. Was this girl playing games with her? But she gave in and had only to look at herself with disgust. She was also out here trying to find the source of a voice that rang inside of her own mind. Her expression seemed to soften as she nodded down to the girl. "I'm Sabriel Deboriahí. You can call me Sabriel for short." She said with a small smile. "I'm here for the same thing as you are."

"Then we're both crazy." she laughed before looking at the rock's face. There were glowing runes inscribed there. They read- When the dragon's call is answered the rules shall commence. Alone you shall fall, together you'll rise. Unity is the best rope, only through that will the best path be revieled. "What's it all mean?" she asked.

Sabriel studied the rock for a few moments before answering. "I would guess that 'When the dragon's call is answered the rules shall commence.' means.... That what we're hearing inside out minds is the dragon's call. When that call is answered, the rules of whatever will commence...." She was silent for a moment more, looking at the rest. "And the rest to me sounds like rubbish. What do you see in it? It mostly sounds like some game when it mentions 'rules'."

She thought for a moment and then replied,"The part about 'alone you shall fall'....I think I know. When I was trying to climb up the mountain I kept falling, but if we work together I think we can both make it over, and that'd be the unity thing. No idea how that's like a rope though..." They're getting it.. the dragon thought to itself.

Sabriel looked up at the mountain and and gave out a little grunt. "Well, that means I have to leave my stallion behind..." She seemed on the verge of saying 'no' and 'I'm not going to go with you on this crazy quest' but the voice that rang in her head refused her that choice. "... I'll come with you, and together we can make it to the top of this mountain that tells riddles." She said with a confident smile and offered a hand to the girl to help her up.

"Thanks." she smiled, letting Sabriel help her up. "By the way, my name is Almai." As soon as she placed her hand on the cliffside and took a few steps up she stretched out her hand to help the other girl climb. Once she did this a silver rope appeared in Almai's hand. "Guess this is the 'rope' thing then?"

Sabriel let Almai help her up. "Well, silver ropes don't just appear out of no where, so it must be." She said back.
