The rules are easy:
1) Respect all the members, especially the admins and other staff members since they rule the site.
2) Don't harass anybody here, nobody likes to be insulted or angered!
3) Be sure to follow directions given and don't mouth off about it! Remember, you are here as a member. The admins hold the power to delete your account or ban you for a certain amount of days if you are causing problems.
4) Images may be used for characters, but nothing offensive. (Meaning no pornographic images!) Also, we know that most members get the pictures from the internet. No need to put a gigantic thing up saying you didn't draw the image. If you DID draw it, feel free to put up a few lines giving credit to yourself for the image, but not three paragraphs! There's no need for it.
5) I don't want to hear anything racist from a member. Your characters may not like a certain race, but please don't say anything that would hurt member's feelings.
Ex- Your character can call a wyvern "scum" or other insults if they are a dragon, but they cannot make fun of blacks because it could offend a real person. Nothing hurtful is to be said because we are all here to have fun!
6) If you choose to advertise a website, please PM the link to an administrator. Their posts are much more likely to draw attention than a normal member's, so your website will get more views and members! ^^ Oh, and it also helps in making sure it meets staff approval and isn't inappropriate for the age group of our members. Make sure that the link you send to an admin works. Along with the image. If it does not meet the requirements, it will be taken down and you will have to send the link to an admin again.
7) If you have need for something just ask the administrators. They will be happy to help you! ^^ We're all friendly, and I assure you that we don't bite!
8) This rule is more for admins than members... please make sure the header gets updated at least ONCE A MONTH! It helps us look more active. Even though we've got active members, an old header makes us appear like we haven't been on in ages and that the site is dead!
9) When RPing we expect STANDARD proper English style. No Powerplaying, Godmoding, all that goes without saying. I want the use of quotation marks not colours, bold print, or italics. Italics are for thoughts and here on DW we use the '~' marks for punctuation when using thought-speech. (Example:
"Fury are you alright?" Bonita asked. ~Serrion! Get here right away!~ she added with a quick mental message to the red dragon miles away.)
10) Tying into number nine, we don't want non-existent synonyms being used. 'Orb' is NOT a valid one for 'eye'. It's a pet peeve of Fury's so just don't do it. (So no 'audits' for ears, 'pillars' for legs, etc. They aren't real synonyms in my book. While most think it's a great way to use more colourful language it's not a valid one. If you want to do that try improving your sentence structure and using real synonyms instead. ^^)
11) HAVE FUN AND ENJOY YOUR STAY HERE AT DW!

-note- I realize I make the admins sound like stingy people who are strict and a bit evil, but that isn't the case. We're all very friendly and pleased to help any member in need. Otherwise we have no use for our power at all and might as well just be regular old members. (Another point, though I will introduce myself and my fellow admins by their titles we don't act like it's the greatest thing in the world. It's just a word! xD "power" means that we can just make boards and others can't! We all act just like regular members most of the time anyway! We even like to have fun and post random things when the time calls for it. Like on party boards)
